Agreed.

I'm reasonably sure my 3 card(560/570/1060) refuses to mine without crashing because CPU is bottlenecking somehow. claymore eventually just stops putting console message up, hit return in console and it spits a bunch of opengl hang messages and exits.

Its super annoying.

nicehash will not even benchmark, it gets about 2/3 through and hangs as well.

stak-min will run for a few hours before eventually giving connection errors.

Unless you can explain the logic behind why a Celeron or Pentium can't support an 8 GPU mining rig other than "I tried it and it doesn't work!" then I'm going to rightly assume that you're a mouthbreathing retard. An i5 or an i7 offer nothing a similar socket Pentium or Celeron offers a mining rig. The CPU cores don't do any work, they're just there to provide PCI-E lanes and babysit the GPUs. A Celeron provides 16x PCI-E lanes, that's 8 more than necessary for an 8 GPU mining rig. Your anecdotal evidence is bullshit and other people searching for problems are most likely dealing with faulty motherboards or power supplies, just like you probably are.

I already told you. you will hit system interrupts. it can't handle the load regardless of what pci generation you set it to. the computer will run, it will come online, it'll even appear to be mining with all cards, but your hashrates wont be consistent. the processor will be juggling the lanes around.

invest earning in mining rigs, not really that complicated. with the earnings from mining buy even more equipment. it's like owning real estate, but it's even better because you can get easily +$100 a day for less than 10k. and everyone who says you can make more than that with trading, you are right, but none of you guys are good enough to get 100% of your trades right.

6 months of mining, I've literally gone down maybe 5 times across 5 rigs? Twice had risers go bad, had power circuit issues in the beginning that got sorted. 5x8gpu all 1070s... Consistent 31mhs/mhs, 500 mem clock boost, 70% tap... See that nice smooth consistent green line? That's my 1240mhs. 5 GPU rigs(assuming like 1060's) is probably 2 grand each?

so somewhere around 30 grand?

1K a day before electricity? you are chewing on some meaningful wattage...

Sniped two of these today, going to get one more for a modest monero rig.

I had a 24x 580 rig a few months back but I sold it during the downtrend right before ether broke out of 300 and into the 400~800. Sold them at a loss too for $250 a pop. The guy bought them paid me in ether but I was an idiot and cashed it out. Would've had nearly 20k today if I didn't.

Also sold all my remaining ether for $800 to buy the $3500 BCH bags. Another smart move.

I'm obviously not made out for day trading so I'm just going to mine and hold.

If you want to mine turtles:

1. Download xmr-stak from here:
https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/releases
2. Generate a wallet here:
https://turtlecoin.lol/wallet/
3. Unzip the xmr-stak zip and open up notepad. Write "xmr-stak" without the quotation marks and then Save As > Save as type: All Files > Save it as start.bat inside the folder you extracted the files into earlier.
4. Double click the "start.bat" file and then pick "monero", then pool address: z-pool.com:3333, and then enter the wallet address you generated earlier, empty pw, then N on the remaining options.
