Mining =/= new world economy. If anything, China (and Korea) is at the forefront of the new world economy. It even has blockchain development in its most recent five year plan. They've already tested their own national cryptocurrency and they're starting to integrate blockchain technology into cities. IMO, it's the US that's lagging behind while it hems and haws about how to deal with crypto.
