What is price singularity and when are we going to reach it?

>> No.6103882

Its when the LINK price looks like a fat finger order, but actually has support all the way up the spike. LINK's price will reach infinity in the largest green dildo in the history of crypto.

It will happen November 2018.

Exactly. LINK is still cheap only because it attracted so many cheap buyers who want to dump for minutia as they try to play the game. But as it reaches higher and higher prices, less and less people will want to sell, and eventually so much LINK will be consolidated into the hands of so few who refuse to sell that the price will have no top. Most LINK will become staked, and most LINK already belongs to a relatively small handful of people. LINK will easily become a top 5 coin within a few years.

>> No.6104212

Price singularity will begin when major players start announcing they are using Chainlink. Partners will only reveal themselves after mainnet is live so this will be 2H 2018.

The day SWIFT reveals they've chosen Chainlink as their oracle expect 2x within an hour. It will be glorious.

Oh it will be far more than a 2x once any SWIFT partnership is announced.

We'll get a 2x from the code release, and a 2 or 3x from main net. Probably a 1.5x from zeppelin_os (which is annoying because to me that's the biggest deal), but for SWIFT we're talking 5-10x easily.

That's very easy.

Let's say you are offering bonds with monthly payments based on LIBOR rates. It's done using Ethereum smartcontract. I send my ETH collateral,
the smartcontract locks it up and pays me COLLATERAL*LIBOR*0.3 each month from your Eth wallet.

Okay, but how does the Eth blockchain get the LIBOR rate? If it pulls it from a centralized server, then I can hack the server, so it feeds your smartcontract an inflated LIBOR rate so I get more money. Heck, I can even hack it so it says LIBOR is 10000% and drain you account...

Enter ChainLink. With ChainLink you have a network of data providers (oracles) which feed LIBOR rates (or any other data) to smart contracts. If someone hacks one node, that's okay, because other nodes will still have good data. And, node operators have to stake ChainLink tokens in their nodes. So if they feed you bad data (not matching the consensus) they lose their ChainLink tokens, so they have an incentive to provide reliable service.

Since I'm a poorfag you can tip me in LTC:

The Oracle problem is how do you actually convert off-blickchain data such that it's understood by the blockchain nodes? This allows execution of smart contracts by allowing a decentralized network of Oracle's to interpret the data. Read the white paper for technical details. Basically it was complex and difficult but Sergey did it.

Link token is used to pay for API data. The network has mechanisms like the penalty payment and node staking that require tokenization. Why not use fiat for all this? Because blockchains can't communicate with external data including fiat currencies. Also tokenization is an advantage for all the parties involved, the node operators will want their staked and previously acquired tokens to appreciate in value and so do the institutions owning tokens. Your dad would also be interested in growing of the value, but probably he's too old and cynical and weak handed and you should tell him to forget about it if he can't dyor

Alright faggots, I've got 360 stinky linkys at the moment and about 450 euros in fiat being useles shits in my bank account. Should I go all in?

I'm hoping 800 LINK will at least put me in Dollar Menu land later this year.

987 Caymans have already depreciated to the bottom. Besides, you don't buy 911s if you're looking to hold value, you buy GT3/GT2s, especially if there's a lil RS next to it. A 991 GT3 RS was $175k new, one year later they're $250k used. People are out there getting paid $75k to own a fucking awesome car for a year. God damn I can't wait till I cash out my linkies and do that.

Of course I meant new car. Second hand Cayman is so cheap that the depreciation doesn't really matter.
I wouldn't buy a $250k car unless I was a billionaire. There's no justifying such a price tag.

ISIS headquarters is the home base of operations of the International Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS). It is located in New York City on the corner of a busy city block. Malory Archer is the owner and spymaster for ISIS. She also owns the entire building that ISIS is run out of, however she has leased out 3 of the floors for financial reasons.

The bottom floor was 4-5-6 Laundry, a wash and fold operated by an Indian-American owner. It has since been sold to Popeye a former loan-sharking pimp gone legitimate, who renamed the business Popeye's Suds and Duds.
