Halving cycles obviously exist but they don't have to be totally identical to prior ones each time. An example of where this point matters, is like when you see people get real superstitious about how we actually exceeded the prior ATH before the halving this time. They paranoid post about how that's bad juju because "omg, its a non-typical deviation from the schedule". That's taking the concept of cycles too far, because obviously simple news events can impact cycles to uniquely shame them. Not everything is programmed, as that is a kooky level of deterministic belief.
