#1. It's not redeemable in gold.

#2. The central bank/government is just going to keep printing currency anyways.

#3. If the government is going to keep spending money on wasteful infrastructure projects or welfare benefits, which are detrimental to the economy over the long-run.

I don't know how the Zimbabwe system is set up, but if it's anything like any South American country, you're better off just keeping your physical gold and physical USD, then trading it in for ZIG when you actually need it.
