think of it this way
any idea you think of, has probably been thought of in some different version or iteration before
you could think of something ingenious, but by today's standards, ingenious just means a lot of "thinking" hours spent modelling and creating and elaborating on a train of thought, where it's unlikely anyone else has spent that much time

with that said, expensive ideas, are elaborate, and even if someone were to steal it from you, you being the thinker and them being the thief, you would find a much easier time implementing and elaborating further on your idea than they would, because you know it inside out

as for simpler ideas that can simply be stolen and replicated, as good as your implementation or even better, those weren't yours anyways, or you probably weren't the first one to think them

tldr : if someone steals your idea, they should still not be able to make it work as good as you would
