Say a competitor bridge is released soon after sky bridge that is cheaper/offers more network selection than just ETH. Everyone moves over to that bridge and that leaves the arcade with no funding.

I know you spam a lot but I do think this is a legitimate criticism of the project. Bridge revenue is a major keystone of their business model and without it arcade operations will need to pay for costs and that means as structured selling tokens or restructuring the arcade to include an eth fee or other source of non-AVI revenue. I believe the arcade is planned to have payment options using stables or possibly eth directly which is used to purchase the AVI required for a transaction. Adding a small convenience fee to that for example could be a way to generate that revenue stream if that isn't already something that it does. Arcade details have taken a backseat since the focus is on the product launch in front of them so more details will come in time.

Also worth noting first mover advantage is very real. Even if another similar bridge comes along that is better in some regard this doesn't mean that bridge volume drops to zero overnight. Again, all a bunch of what ifs but there are dozens of bridges with that perform the same functions as each other right now between all of the mess of chains and even some of the shittiest ones see plenty of volume, or at least enough to keep operating.

Re: Link. SkyBridge looks like a much cheaper, simpler, faster interface than CCIP, and it is actually coming out probably within the next 1-3 weeks (e.g. first mover advantage). SkyBridge is just for bridging tokens which allows it to be much better and more focused than a solution based on arbitrary messaging that doesn't need teams of people to operate and bloat. I think we'll be fine because usually first mover advantage and better UI/UX wins.
