If you want to feel comfortable - pull out your original principal and just have that sitting in cash in your account or your bank account. Once you're trading with profits only the emotions will be dampened so much.

Also, NEVER try to chase the market. There will be days where you make 10k, then lose 11k just to make it back in a few days. If you ever feel like you want to sell or buy just because of a rapid market move, just do something else for awhile.

Yeah, I feel it's probably better to just sit and do nothing when it's up and buy dips when it's down. I could try timing the market for some extra money, but I also worry I'll fumble, like selling and it keeps pumping and never goes below where I sold.
