You should look at the the CBOE covered call indexes (like BXM, BXMD) and track their performance against SPX. Most go back to 1986 I believe. And look at what the fund manager's performance goals were. They were targeting 6% to 8% if I remember correctly. JEPI also has a beta of 0.6. Is something with 60% of the volatility of SPX really going to have the same performance? And then you have taxes which lower long term growth.

Subway said it’s also extending its existing agreement with Frito-Lay, PepsiCo’s snack-food unit, to provide chips and snacks at its restaurants through 2030. PepsiCo already provides beverages at Subway shops in several regions outside the US.
