Yes they work best when the intraday and daily levels line up. So if a stock is in a selling range (R3+) on the daily and runs up to R4 on the intraday it's a higher probability short. MMs and algos use these levels, which is why they work so well.

There's some credibility there. Around 2006, I recall a program called Folding@Home, which was a decentralized thing you could download which would process protein folding simulations.
