I'm calling it right now, not only are we not getting rate cuts this year... There's literally nothing stopping inflation from going down at this point apart from another rate hike and if the Fed can't lower rates without raising inflation why on earth do you think they'd lower rates at all? Furthermore, if inflation hasn't gone down yet and at this point, is starting to go up, what makes you think it will magically go down?

Think about what the FED would have to do in order to maintain market stability after having lowered rates when inflation is increasing and or stagnating. You'd essentially trade temporary relief (3-4 months max) for higher inflation which ultimately requires you know it, MORE RATE HIKES!

If markets end up deteriorating with where both rates and inflation are at today, the fed might end up INCREASING RATES instead which sounds ridiculous if you listen to the talking heads, but it's true.

If you want rates to go down, the economy to boom, you need inflation to go down. Guess what? That isn't happening until rates go up, because inflation unfortunately, isn't going down even with rates where they are at. If it hasn't gone down by now, it's not going to magically start. Rates need to go higher for longer until enough shit breaks allowing for inflation to ACTUALLY go down which ultimately gives the fed the ability to stimulate the economy (lower rates) without causing inflation to go up.

The Fed is fighting against fiscal policy, and there’s MASSIVE amounts of liquidity in short term yield accounts just chomping at the bit, waiting to rush into markets(and inflate everything even higher) once rates fall. There’s no way this is all short term.

You don’t just print 1/3 of the entire money supply and go back to normal, especially with monetary and fiscal policy undermining each other. This is not how things work. Everyone is underestimating the amount of liquidity out there, even now. All it takes to see what’s out there is one glance at M2 YOY, and all money market accounts nationally, and it’s clear CPI isn’t going to magically plummet. Rates are going to be higher than the market wants for longer than the market anticipates, otherwise CPI will not go back to 2%.

I work in a very niche sub-specialty in STEM (engineering) with subpar wages and 0 fresh zoomers entering the field and while what you say should logically be the case, wages are on a race to the bottom and there doesn't seem to be a light in the end of the tunnel.
