People here go all in because they want to escape the wageslave hell. So anything under 1MM doesn`t cut it if you are in the 20-40 age range. It needs to last until you kick the bucket otherwise its worthless.

So if you want to make it take that 5k and forget what consumer shit you could buy with it. Even if you lose it you will learn what to avoid to do next time.

And here I am now. Holding a dozen coins with no idea what to go all in on for one more ride. I've had countless times to make it but paper handed for the most part. My highest conviction coin right now is QUBIC if that is worth anything to you. I really think AVI could do something special too.

Doge has already popped. It's a decent coin but overvalued. Inflation makes it difficult to continue gaining. It gets harder and harder to pump, but you're on the right track looking for legit crypto projects. You want to look for something that always pops but hasn't popped yet.

I do agree this is the safest bet and is always a good one. I use it as a savings account
>All other coins are shitcoins
Nah. There's better coins. XMR is better than BTC. Better privacy, more scalable. Only drawback is lack of liquidity and network effect. BCH is decent, same thing as Bitcoin with a built in coin mixer and more scalable. Litecoin is decent. Same thing as Bitcoin, optional privacy, more scalable. I do agree Bitcoin will generally give you more gains than any of those though, but they aren't shit. Pretty much everything else in the market is a scam or a security.

LTCN is already charging like $170/Litecoin. The discount is gone and you pay a premium on it. You're better off buying the Litecoins at this stage until Grayscale buys more Litecoin (which will bring the discount back)

XMR is a utility coin. You only need it to make a transaction, not to store value. At the time of the transaction you exchange your store of value for XMR and then use it.

Store of value trends to the hardest asset which is bitcoin, which is why XMR only goes down against bitcoin.

I just got into 6 figures range last month. I have been here since 2021, mostly getting airdrops, I just added about 200 bucks since I started. You gotta start taking profit early, jeeting, until you reach 4 figure range. Get in early, always sell part of your bag and learn how to identify good projects. Once you find one project that you know you can get stuck with, just hold, and you'll be good. I'm my case it was a socialfi token of a reddit copy called plebbit, and I'm autistic enough to believe I'll get to 8 figures with that. 2 years and a half holding the same token and counting.

Hatewatched crypto since 2017 as I was unable to purchase goy upgrades during mining mania. Had the sense to not buy the top in 2021 and sat in $15k until entering the market in fall 2022. Bought BTC and shit L1'S like Algo.
My comfy corp job became absolute hell after management change so changed my goals of paying off my mortgage and having some extra spending cash into making this run and retiring. Lived frugal and put all my extra cash into undervalued promising tokens like Fet and Trias and realized /biz/ has alpha amongst the shit. Caught AVI this summer when it was first posted and identified it as the make-it coin and went in big. Kept a gambling shitcoins fund and bought some uff with potential when I managed to catch them early enough. Important to go in with at least $500 early on a shitcoins and cash out after 10x and rotate. Currently sitting at $250k and hoping for 5m this cycle.

Everything I did is regularly mocked by the galactic brains on this board.

> bought bitcoin and held it.
> watched price crash hard several times over the years, didn't care.
> never bothered trading, never jumped into any of the many many shitcoins that make up /biz/'s core identity.

Of course, /biz/tards will either dismiss this as a wildly improbable LARP, or as no longer applicable to the current situation, because AI destroyed tech, Bitcoin is dying and holding for the long term is what out of touch foggies do.

I bought BTC in 2013 and except for the downpayment on my house I never sold.
I did one big swing trade in 2017/2018 when I sold at 18k and rebought at 4k, setting aside 200k profit to put into stock etfs. Other than that, no swings, no shitcoins, no nothing that can evaporate your net worth or rug you.

I think the next bear is going to be brutal if we see a massive wave of retail enter this cycle. that will be the time to buy up blue chips. those who take advantage of the sheer bloodshed will become kings.

It's easy to have a million dollars on paper if you just have patience and a little bit of common sense when investing. It's when you have to cash it in that the government swoops in takes most of it and then punishes you for making them wait for their "share". I guess what I'm saying is, portfolios with seven figures don't equate to a seven-figure lifestyle. They don't even equate to a six-figure lifestyle unless you're taking profit with no concerns for future growth.

i believe you anon. I waged until I was 29 before I could "invest" full-time. A lot of folks here me thinks make $50k and try to do it full-time and wreck themselves

the emotions of it all are complex too. sometimes it does make sense to sell immediately, sometimes it can be a huge fail. often doing nothing (aka not panic selling) and staying in the game make it worth it.
