In their prospectus, the BTC ETFs state that they buy their BTC after hours of the stock market. They were expecting a pump.

>> No.57900862

Let me do you a favor: do not bother. people get a big fat head thinking about what is possible only to lose everything faster than if they were regularly trading. when and if you can trade to a profit, be content in that -- do not try to leverage your skills in stupid fashion.

Trust me don't bother unless you are unironically 7 figures and fucking around with like a couple thousand
Picrel was me being "Le High IQ Trader" fucking around with pepe on kucoin with 5x leverage. One day gigapepe fud came out about gigantic psyop sellsellsell and boom pepe scam wicked down 20% for a 15 minutes (I think this was August according to my save files timestamp)

Anyways just don't. Liquidation is worse than bagholding

>> No.57901032

They are trading futures or options . Here’s how it works .

Man A thinks the price of let’s say a stock is going to go down . so , after putting up some collateral , he borrows shares from man B and man A sells them at the current market price , for example $100 , intending to rebuy them in the future when the stock is at lower price , for example $90 , to repay the debt in shares to man B .

Man A is “shorting” and Man B is “longing” the stock with a shared contact . Man B believing that the price of the stock will go up .

The twist is that with higher collateral more shares can be borrowed thus making it possible for small changes in price to affect the deal many times over . For example , if 50x leverage then a “long” would be liquidated for his $100 in collateral if the of the stock price drops from $100 to $97.99

>>57898591
>How does someone get liquidated?
at 10x leverage a 10% increase in price doubles your money, 10% drop causes you to lose it all

>> No.57901512

>>57901063
Indeed don't leverage trade. this thread is a warning. Also in practice if you long x100 at $10 you'll be out by like $9.5 instead of $9
