Even if we hit $400, the good time feels will never come back here. And twitter is just a massive recycling of 4 year old /biz/ memes. We no longer get inside posts (snow paper) and only get larps (key lime coconuts, sergey gold man). By now we thought, rank 3 at minimum, currently 15 or 16 and dropping. There are no happenings, just little random drops like Telefonica SIM swap partnerships and poorly executed meme tweets like blue dots or one word (oracles). It just doesn't have the feel it used to have. Maybe it was done on purpose to sap this place of its enthusiasm before banks start to use it. Maybe it's more glowie than we know (that runner/marketing guy is creepy). And maybe they just can't get past the eternal NDA delays (no CCIP years after it being teased)

Even staking is stupid, they could've easily added an additional price feed or service to staking to further "enhance the security of the network". Sergey is unimpressive, and I have a feeling it's not his fault. Someone or some entity is purposely fucking us over and making us watch slop pump 50% overnight as some form of hazing

I attended the first in-person Smartcon and that was to me what started the massive decline. Eric Schmidt to that point was supposed to be this massive influence and titanic shift in Chainlink's arc. That talk started a massive decline. The next year, he shows up on a Zoom call in some underground bunker with Ukraine props in the background and terrible video quality. He barely talked about Chainlink and generalized most of his discussion. Around the same time, he bought a massive boat, with what was probably the consulting fees he was being paid by Sergey. Since then, complete silence.

Not fud, I am 7 years older, and am tired. Tired of hearing "tonight", "two more weeks", and "I'm so excited for you kids". Just one big happening would've been nice. I've watched meme after meme go 10x in the first months of the year and I'm sick of this slow crawl back up. I look at the staking rewards and they give me no satisfaction or excitement. Two Sigma runs a node, one of the biggest hedge funds in the world, but we haven't heard a peep about it since. Same with T-Systems, why hasn't there been deeper collaboration. At SmartCon last year we heard Hong Kong was about to go live, half a year later we just hear how they like web3. This has been a depressing experience the past few years. I would've been better off never coming here and going down the rabbit hole, and instead just keeping the btc and eth I had and bought some shitcoins and went about my way.

So yeah, if it hits $400, I'll just shrug and sell. No more assblaster fun, no Blythe posts, no fun wallet autist threads. That feel is gone

They trusted Fernando, trusted the slimy people involved in Celsius, Bancor and many others like them, they trusted the Winklevoss twins, they even trusted Sammy Bankman Fraud to show up at SmartCon. They trusted Ed at Arbitrum. They trusted Yorke at Microsoft. The sketch guy at DMM. The crew at LinkPool. Yeah, now that clears my head. Another day, another reminiscence of picrel anon who sold the top in Aug 2020 and made a killing because of it. I'm sure just about all of us ignored our gut and better angels at the time but not him.

I agree, I wish I never came here and just found my own path because since building positions in other things it's actually felt like old times again. Come to think of it, Industrial Rhythm was likely the final nail in the coffin for me. Specifically, the exact moment when the dark man spun around on his bald dome head. I found Chris Barrett aka running/marketing guy's YouTube profile and Adem posted his IMDb profile the other day. That was lovely. Wonderful additions to his AI-generated selfies portraying him as a jacked viking. That's totally well-adjusted. They bring in Eric Schmidt and Sergay practically laughs off his advice about the dangers of having a wfh "workforce", thus flushing whatever fees he's receiving down the drain. He didn't even turn up last SmartCon.

And how's that rabid TA "expert" running rampant around here the last few days? Imagine coming to an anonymous forum and figuring if you just speak assuredly and authoritatively enough they'll all believe and care about your certain promises of expansion and assume your prestigious expertise, which is probably a $6k online trader course. All the same feelings and discourse and those better angels yelling as late 2020.

I had a crazy, cosmic experience recently, frens, where in a completely unrelated place I came across a conversation on plebbit. I will post a reply to continue this as it's a slow work day...

Here, enjoy.

It probably tells you nothing you didn't already suspect, but seeing this laid out in a completely unrelated place, in a completely unrelated conversation, between two accounts with all manner of other posts, just because I happen to scroll that sub occasionally, blew my fucking face off. You might be seeing it on biz which makes you suspicious, but I scrolled through this on plebbit, as it was, during a conversation about Succession's dialogue. Can you imagine? I looked at his profile and it's genuine. He posts all sorts of stuff and has done for a while.

Assblaster was obviously an insider, but biz was also astroturfed by Sergey however much he needed to blow out the competition at the time. Not by Bulgarians, but Macedonians, though we could be excused that margin of error. Reading this was sort of like how I imagine confronting the secret family truth that was known but never properly discussed, always the elephant in the room that no one could admit to noticing or it would come alive. Biz was ripe at the time to be programmed into Sergey's vision so extremely that we're all still here today.

It's likely that less of these times past than you think, times which you reminisce warmly about and which comfort you after seven long years, were ever organic in the first place.

I knew once I brought it up there will be the contingent who just want to deny and accuse etc, but you can poke around yourself in that thread and those profiles and make a determination as to how and what the balance of probabailities is that thay post would somehow be a psyop or planted or whatever. As I said, you have the problem of someone posting it on biz, but I didn't. I scrolled my way to it.

Any idiot would know Chainlink is active to at least some degree on biz. I just think it is (at least was) so much deeper and wider spread than we ever admit. There's always the vague accusation but it was the fundamental capital raising strategy for the project. It's not some le sekrit sleeper cell project of the elites, not kingmade, just the one oracle project whose Macedonian warehouse secured enough capital. And hey, they did hire a lot of real talent and absolutely have a killer vision, and what they have delivered is perfect, CCIP is an incredible idea, but it's no wonder to me why shit has taken so fucking long to deliver when this is the origin story. It's no exception to the usual seedy grungy tactics of this industry.

I don't really get what the big deal is if it's confirmed Chainlink astroturfed in the early days. It's literally 7 years ago at this point and on some level it's not even surprising.

Reality is Chainlink has produced extremely high quality software, and they're by far the most professional team in this dumb industry (note: most professional does not mean they're perfect). Another thing that makes me really care less about astroturfing 7 years ago is the fact that it's essentially confirmed that Ari Juels has been shitposting on /biz/ for years after we saw some excerpts from his latest book. That alone is far more intriguing and flat out weird to me.

Chainlink Labs as a company/entity/whatever is really strange to me. On one hand they seem very professional and they've hired unbelievable talent, but on the other hand we've got evidence that Ari Juels has been shitposting on /biz/ for years... just wtf?

I don't think it's actually a scam. They are just a bunch of highly incompetent people who had a pretty good idea but had no idea how to execute it correctly, so they've been stuck in decision paralysis for years, talented and experienced people keep joining the team and show high enthusiasm (Dahlia Malkhi, Alex Coventry, Kemal El Moujahid or Eric Schmidt) only to realize what a shitshow this company is within a year or so. Have you noticed how Kemal used to be so hyped up every time he spoke about product updates, and now he doesn't even bother showing up, stopped posting product updates etc.? There is stuff from the first whitepaper from 2017 that's still not even in the works, and Ari in a recent interview said he's still working on THEORETICAL FOUNDATION of their "superlinear staking" idea. 7 fucking years have passed and they're not even close to having an MVP, the company only exists because of constant token dumps. That's an equivalent of a startup getting billions of dollars in funding and 7 years later having AAR under a million dollars. Ridiculous.

Having people talk about your product in glowing terms is one thing, but it's another thing for the people that are high on chainlink to go to their board and convince a bunch of boomers that they need to completely change how they operate.

They go to the conference's, run some proof of concepts and talk up the tech, because it makes them look like a modern forward thinking company, but that doesn't mean shit.

I mentioned it in another thread, but I know for (almost) a fact that ANZ, that did a proof of concept last year, is not actually interested in doing anything in the real world. There's like a 1 percent chance I'm wrong.

Absolute mongoloid brain. Biz has never even gave a shit about any 'competitors'. The only 'competitor' for a while was band and it was a chink team so this redditor wouldn't know anyone there, and it was rightfully laughed off the board. Chainlink discussion was always pure organic old fashioned 4chan autism and anyone with half a brain can detect astro turf and low budget shills. Early chainlink days were autists doing breadcrumb research and digging white papers. It's only after chainlink became the top performing token in like 2018 that scammers took notice of biz and started spamming the place with jeets and bots without ever understanding why this was pointless because of the way 4chan operates on autism. Bunch of fucking retards.

Yeah, what makes me suspicious that Chainlink would willingly do this is that Chainlink tokens were already difficult to purchase from the start. You needed to purchase a minimum amount of Link with ETH to participate in the ICO. /biz/ crowd funded to get each other in the ICO. And while companies would normally pay for a listing on Binance, Binance bypassed the Chainlink team and opened a Chainlink listing. In addition, our memes are way higher quality than any other project in this space.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvJxjth9vtU
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhH87Ub0uDc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzWjpjnRf-s

You won't find Macedonians making memes and videos like this.

I can agree that Chainlink may have experimented with astroturfing, but at the start, the community was purely organic. Else they wouldn't have made it so difficult to purchase link tokens in the first place and wouldn't be so mum on what they're working on and not have to be criticized to the point where they relented and became more transparent on stuff they've been delivering on.

honestly I believe it. Sergey embezzled all that money. There's no way he spent $3+ billion which he gained from dumping at the top on paying devs. his mass dumping behavior doesn't point to having a "massive warchest" like the advocates say.
The fact that he chose to incorporate in the cayman Islands shows that he's well aware of offshore shell companies. Like his fellow countrymen like putin and the russian oligarchs he's probably embezzled billions into various secret offshore bank accounts.
Corruption and embezzlement is second nature to the slav, like breathing in water is to the fish.
Nobody ever asks chainlink where all that money is and why they need to keep dumping even at $5 LINK.

Yep. Sergey's prior crypto experience ie NXT was basically at trial run on how to setup the perfect grift. I bet if someone were to ask him, he has zero regret about the way that ended. He probably doesn't even remember it.

Kushti's line about "saying crazy things to investors" really resonates here. You can see it play out the last few years where he announces new products that are still in idea stage. And all the "quadrillions" bullshit being thrown around and regurgitated by all of the team members. It's like he sat down and taught all of the employees his sales pitch rhetoric like Jordan Belfort in Wolf of Wall St.

All of this makes the "truth>trust" marketing campaign even more sociopathic.

Crypto as a technology is actual shit. The initial hype phase is over. You will never experience again the same level of hype in this project again. A second smaller hype phase may still be coming in the next years.
However Sergey let /biz/ get destroyed and completely ignored the importance of the community with his autism.
He is paying the price now for it with a devalued token price valuing his inability to act as a leader when facing evil, and his passive aggressive stand towards his investors.

The wallet analysis of the short sellers was rewarded by betrayal and inaction, rewarding the short sellers in the end.
The lesson to learn from this is that the short sellers were right and you should not fight them next time but make an alliance instead, and that it was a waste of time to work for free to help against the price manipulation.
That time would have been better spent trading another asset, or even shorting Chainlink.
If you want to get more of something, you have to reward it.

However it's good that you are now able to be more neutral with your investment.
That will make it very easy for you to sell it.

>>57884485
Sergey manifests betrayal.
He believes betrayal to be an expected outcome, which is the source of his ambition to create a math based alternative.
Betraying his investors on this path because that's what he believes in.
The truth is that's an unhealthy belief and he needs a therapy to release the energy associated with that past memory.
The journey will end once you realize that Sergey is not an ideal, but the manifestation of weakness.
Then you will finally be free.

with that being said i do fully believe in the very early days tha being 2017 the team posted the initial breadcrumbs here and stoked some hype, but the memes, the spread of it all in 2018-19 that was anons working together on a coming goal without corrupted jannies actively trying to kill the board
i mean lol the insinuation that any random macedonian warehouse could pull off the biggest meme campaign in years and then disappear from the earth is preposterous

Could not have said it better. Any third world warehouse that could put out the God tier LINK golden-era memes would be the absolute kings of crypto memetics and would be world famous by now.
