It’s time to admit it. All of the AI chat bots and text to image bots fucking blow. No, they haven’t gotten any better or more useable.

Why are we pretending these are so revolutionary? Have people actually tried to use them for productive work? They’re fucking terrible and make a shit ton of mistakes for reasons that are foundational to their design and can’t just be fixed with “newer versions”.

You fucking retards in this thread have no fucking clue what you're saying.

AI is still in its infancy, but I use it everyday for simple tasks that would take me 10x the amount of time, like photo editing, inpainting, removing backgrounds or just writing down some SEO slop.
It makes me do things much faster and a lot more productive, but this is just the tip of the iceberg.

AI has been a thing for decades, how do you think facial recognition works?
There are so many niche autistic applications in computer graphics, material sciences and robotics that are driving those industries forward, things like Alpha Fold that made protein folding a solved problem or DeepMind recently discovering millions of possible synthetic materials which could be used for all manners of things, from construction to the discovery of new drugs.

In robotics AI is being used to virtually train robots to do physical tasks and then the data is translated to a real life environment, making the robot actually perform a real life task it was trained to do.

There was also an experiment where a model was trained with MRI scans and was consistently able to predict what people were thinking about by outputting a corresponding image based on their brain activity, IT CAN LITERALLY READ YOUR MIND

You fucking normie faggots have no idea what's happening behind the scenes and how powerful machine learning is, do some research

Dude the amount of brainrot in this thread. Not only are we seeing everyone and their mothers throw millions to research AI, the ones that have already been in the market for years and have research about to pay off are not bothered by the sways in the price because they're pioneering the future of humanity. Look at RLC or even AGRS. The AGRS devs have been around since 2015, close to a decade and more of research, with scientists that are simultaneously working with the top dogs at the UK, and bringing a new type of AI that is nothing like generative AI. Read what Logical AI is and you will see why all the smart guys call it the future. Dude OpenAI wishes it could have this tech.
The AI to generate funny images and text? Yeah that's just the beginning, we're mearly scratching the surface to what ai can do

listen here's whats actually going on. Its all an excuse to pump bags and make money. There is no revolutionary tech, its the same with crypto. Its just the narrative to pump and dump stocks and cryptos. Everything has topped so big money has to come up with new stuff to keep making money. They absolutely need you to believe there is groundbreaking shit going on. What matters is what people believe, so that they go and buy and pump the markets, and you all fell for it. Its alright if you know its all a ruse and when to exit. They will turn to massive shorting once it runs out of steam, then all markets will collapse.
>inb4 its early, we're early, just give it a couple years
no its not lol, you're late, you cant be more late. ITT midwits having troubling holding two ideas in their heads at the same time. They can't handle the cognitive dissonance and think they have to be on team "AI is just a hype bubble" or on team singularity.
Let me drop some truth here.
AI is amazing. My productivity as an engineer has literally 10x'ed. You just have to know how and when to use it.
Also, AI won't replace us. The work I do just cannot be automated - because the things that can be automated already are. Everything else is just too much nitty gritty config, knowing domain stuff that AI isn't trained on, figuring out requirements, speaking with stakeholders, etc... An LLM won't be able to do this any time soon and if you think it will, you just don't understand how this tech works.
