There was a lot of politics going on at the time, like the XEC fork. On top of that, you had people dumping their BCH that they didn't sell in the 2017 bull with all the flippening hype happening.
A lot of dev time between 2017 and 2021 was either spent mired in internal conflict (BSV/XEC), or establishing a governance process, coalescing on an altered brand, technical upgrades such as new address formats & improving the difficulty adjustment algorithm. These are not small changes.
Since XEC has split in 2020, everybody has been on the same page and it's gotten major upgrades
>Unlimited unconfirmed chains
>Multiple OP_RETURNs
>Double-Spend Proofs
>Native Introspection Opcodes - efficiency improvement for covenants that not only simplifies complex transactions but also enhances the possibilities around scheduled and recurring payments. Important for a cash system.
>Bigger Script Integers
>Pay-To-Script-Hash-32
>CashTokens

The CashTokens upgrade (2023) is the most substantial upgrade on BCH in years. CashTokens makes it possible for native tokens, both fungible and non-fungible, to reside directly and securely on the blockchain. No other UTXO chain has this, so BCH has the first-mover advantage. >1000x more efficient than EVM, and BCH has never had any downtime unlike SOL.

There's an entire DeFi ecosystem in BCH now.

This May they're also making the blocksize algorithmic according to demand for block space. There's some restrictions on it so it can't scale to fast for Moore's law to keep up, but it prevents having another blocksize war in case a bunch of people jump into BCH and the fees end up as bad as BTCs.

I already knew about the UTXO Commitment/FastSync work but I had to look in to the rest a bit more.

XThinner focuses on compression, capable of reducing block data to about 12 to 16 bits per transaction, achieving a reduction of up to 99.6%. Already tested on mainnet.

Blocktorrent works by breaking down a block into small, independently verifiable chunks for transmission. Each chunk is designed to be about the size of one IP packet. The key goal is to improve block propagation performance by allowing nodes to forward each IP packet shortly after receiving it, regardless of the order or whether other packets have been received. This is a departure from traditional methods where nodes couldn’t forward the first byte until the entire block was received and validated.

Performance target with Blocktorrent is to be able to propagate a 1 GB block in about 5-10 seconds to all nodes in the network that have 100 Mbps connectivity and quad core CPUs.)

That could definitely change things up.

doge will almost definitely pump again but it usually waits until the cycle is nearly over
you could rotate in to BCH over the next couple weeks/month and grab a doge bag in mid 2025 with the profits
I'm not in doge yet but I was thinking about doing this with a few coins I'm in, bch included

BCH I thought waited until the cycle was nearly over too, I'm up like 100 bucks, I might swap out today on Robinhood. I'm considering swapping out my Cardano and RLC also on Coinbase for BCH,
I had 11Ether last bull run, but traded them down like a retard swapping back and forth when Tesla kept splitting

A price prediction gamba game would go hard on eesee. They already sell tickets for chances to win jackpots and shit like nfts, why not add this? I know I'd play it, Bitcoin Cash is thrilling right now.

Problem with the new ATH and last bull run was the Forkening from 2017, that wasn't this fucker already at like 3K ?
Then only going to a high of 1600, in 2021
this fucker better atleast climb back to 3K
i bought two of them during crypto winter for like 80 bucks, they just been sitting in my ledger

this guy is definitely right if you invest in bch or any shitcoin you're basically just giving your money to me and i appreciate that i also want to point out that even if bch does somehow get to $3k i could just drop an extra $1m to keep it below that and you poor ass bch chuds will have lost everything

They had two forks after 2017 too. BSV forked off in 2018 and XEC in 2020
Those killed a lot of their momentum before the 2021 run but nothing like that has happened since and they have good tech now so ATH could happen this time
