No, it's because of the green party, who want to reduce CO2 emissions in this country. Energy is simply getting more expensive every year. It is just no longer profitable to have industry in this country. The funny thing is that industry is now going to other countries where energy is cheap but very CO2-intensive because of coal and oil, which leads to more CO2 being emitted into the air overall

Summary

Export
Cocoa prices traded around $5,850 per tonne, holding close a recent peak of 5,888, amid persistent concerns over limited supplies. Leading cocoa producers Ivory Coast and Ghana are grappling with tight supplies caused by diseases spreading in their plantations, compounded by seasonal Harmattan winds, which bring dry weather and negatively impact crop quality and yield. The El Niño-associated dryness is anticipated to exacerbate the situation, potentially leading to a further decline in cocoa output. The latest data showed Ivory Coast shipped 1.04 MMT of cocoa to ports from October 1 to February 4, down 39% from the same time last year. Simultaneously, Ghana's graded and sealed cocoa arrivals reached 341,000 metric tons by Jan. 31 since the start of this season's harvest on Sept. 1, down 35% from 521,000 tons a year ago. Meanwhile, soaring cocoa prices are already filtering through to consumers and squeezing major chocolate makers.

What are the chances Powell cuts rates inflation resurges, the Bidan administration blame it on the Houties and Putin, this brings the chances of Drumpf winning the elections to 99.99%, and then when he comes to office they raise rates, Drumpf cheers that he ended inflation, maybe there's some peace talk in Ukraine, Drumpf cheers the efforts to end the war, and he does something about the border. He ends up looking like a God that fixed everything, the Republican cattle will be clapping their hands. All in preparation of a Taiwan invasion or some black swan like that that pushes inflation to 30%,

I absolutely don't disagree with that. However, in general you can bet that the Chinese and Iranians are not going to behave as well.

Maybe the Russians will but they don't have a history of stability or rule of law.
Canada and Australia are as usual extensions of GB with the same problems although Australia is in better shape. Also I feel like I should point out the Canadian banks are very much distinct from the US banks.
