So I'm a huge misogynist, but I have to say this is one edge women have that you can see IRL every single day. You listen to men talk about investing, and they just miss the point of the entire thing completely. First they see it as this "war" between bulls and bears, obsessing over every tiny intraday move and how it's like a "knockout punch" against the person on the other side of the trade. Then, they of course get really scared and emotionally invested in TINY stock market moves, seeing every tiny 2% drawdown as a new bear market. This drives them into the hands of fear peddlers who shove them into 100% precious metals portfolios, which horribly underperform of course. Then they see their bullion going nowhere, or maybe going up 2% in a year if they're lucky, and they get the idea "gee maybe gold STOCKS" are where it's at, and they put it all in some Junior miner they get excited about, then they panic sell the junior miner when it goes down 2%, or if they're really determine they hang on until it's down 10%, and panic sell at an even greater loss.
Then you see women and they're like "the textbook says buy index funds regularly and buy all the more when the price is down a lot," and that's what they do. They just go right out there and do what the people who have studied the matter say to do.
