As in all third world countries, there are places that are good to live in if you have enough money. If you consider moving to turkey, pick the west-coast if you are a non-turk.
I lived there for 5 years when I worked for a german company back in 2010 and travelled a lot. The rest of the country is safe as well but you don't want to live there anyway.
Of course I can't judge how it is now, last time I was there is a few years ago for a short vacation.
