I literally only started drinking because everyone else was doing it and it was expected and I was determined to be better at it than they were even though I gained absolutely zero enjoyment from it.

In an effort to understand the normie, I have engaged in all the vices society considers normal and acceptable, and have learned the most essential lesson about normies, their state of consciousness is so diminished you could almost state factually that they cannot be considered as having a soul.
In the absence of a soul, there is only what I call the "urges".
The sex urge, the wrath urge, the greed urge, and the fear urge are most powerful, although there are other base urges. These seem to be the essence of what dictates their behavior. They also seem to instinctively engage in role play and "casual conspiracy". For example, it is nearly universal that students at high school will all attend the same parties, with debaucherous sex acts occurring there, and then never discuss or communicate it with others, with such tight secrecy that the teachers in the school suspect nothing.

It would appear they are governed exclusively by the base animal urges, with their behavior in regular society being some elaborate act and lie that they preform more naturally than breathing.

I believe understanding their inherent nature as conspirators and liars, and their total subservience to the base urges, can be used to gain total control and power over them all.

I have as of yet, not gained an understanding of why they engage in role play in public settings. I know it is exceedingly common for people who know each other not to acknowledge each others existence while in public, and other such queer pseudo-conspiracy like behavior. It is very strange, I cannot discern the reason for their roleplay.

Nice way to out yourself as a highschooler. Talking high and mighty like that is all well and good but dont diminish others because thinking of them like animals will only hurt you in the long run. You'll see, soon enough, people are more variable than you think. Yeah there are a lot of the exact cases you mention and the majority of the population looks and acts and thinks like a robot, but that's not everyone. I've met tons of people i thought to be stupid and soulless years after i finished college and they showed me ways of thinking of life i had never thought, i've learned from people i never thought were worth the time of day and i respect the hell out of people who changed and became actual humans after leaving the hell pit that is highschool.
Have more empathy, despite what you think you know right now everyone is living their own lives, fighting their own wars, and some of the "animals" you think you so much understand are probably living in a world of their own that you can't even fathom.
Dont think you know or understand everything, do not presume to be all knowing and above everyone because when life hits you with reality, and believe me, it will, its harder to recover. Take it from someone who experienced exactly what you're going trough right now

Yes I've heard this exact thing before many times, I am aware of this response to my thesis, and perhaps this is part of why they engage in role play, they simply do not have the capability to obeying their urges at all moments in time and the down time in between excursions must be made safe with the collective consensus of the ethos of what the Disney channel would call "humanity". Yes, that makes sense for that collective social contract to emerge in that way.
