We'll find out today. Rumor is that Blackrock alone has $2 Billion they are ready to throw at BTC starting today.

>> No.57258101

It's just the beginning, actually. There's little news of this outside of crypto circles. Wait until 401ks and fund managers start plugging into this and whatever else BTC ETFs are founded and true institutionalization begins.

..but BITO and the Canadian ETF have existed for a long time, and barely have any interest...

my tinfoil hat theory: the only reason the ETF is approved is so that they can short the market and still collect on the shorts when Tether is taken down and the CEXes along with it

the etf approval means btc gained legitimacy and a giant lobby in wall st.
it's practically impossible for it to fully die now, volatility will probably also be lower in the future.

Just face it - we'll never see a '21 like bullrun ever again. Will the price gradually go up over time though? Sure, but again, those euphoric 10-500x gains you saw back then are never coming back. It was simply a different time back then where normies had unlimited money to throw at gambling coins and VC's had unlimited money to infuse random "eth killers". Shit's different now. :(

11 bitcoin ETFs just got approved. They're literally all the same thing apart from fee structure. The only ones that will survive are the ones that have the most assets under management. Each company is going to compete to gain as many investors as possible and that means more normie money being invested directly into bitcoin. The price of bitcoin will shoot past $100k before the end of this year and possibly $500k+ by 2030 when institutions and governments also start investing.

The ETFs are backed by actual bitcoin.
