There were a couple of high profile incidents in 2020 that pushed the idea of investing onto normalfags that'd never considered it before. The ones I personally heard about were the GameStop short squeeze and Elon fucking with Dogecoin. I knew people that'd never touched crypto in their lives that wanted to take advantage of the hype and make gains off of Doge. Of course by the time they got in it was already too late and they were disillusioned at that point.

This hits too close to home. I have normie friends who snickered when I mentioned I had some bags, they all thought it was a scam. And ever since the past few months after the massive pumps, all of the sudden they're trying to pick my brain and learn. Frig off, I've spent literal 1000+ hours learning and now you want to get the cliff notes off me? That's what pisses me off the most. I've put in the time and effort to educate myself as much as possible, but now normies want to use me to help them get rich. Gets me so mad

Basically tiktok and yotuube creators both scamming their respective audiences AND heavily criticizing crypto for being le bad for le environment and whatever other stupid shit they can come up with for free, easy ragebait content trash.

Anyway. Normies are divided in half when it comes to this shit because 50% think it's a complete waste of time, and 50% think you can still make very good money with it.
