I've seen graded go from 300-500 but if you want them all it will take forever to get them unless you buy a set from someone. There are 5 sets I know of, the gold set I already posted, a silver colorized set your celebi is from, a 10 dollar face value silver set, the 1 dollar face value set that isn't silver but cupro-nickel and a 1 dollar face value colorized cupro-nickel set. I see the sets usually go between 2-3k

>According the technical treatise, The Elements Third Edition, written by John Emsley and published by the Clarendon Press, Oxford in 1998, the average person’s body weighing 70 kilograms would contain a total mass of 0.2 milligrams of gold. The volume of this gold in purified form would be 10 nanoliters. We are in the phase of extreme antisemitism expansion in the normiesphere rn. Especially with all the Epstein's victims saying how it basically all is a jewish supremacist mafia in charge. Betting on nazi silber is betting on the future. We are at a point where normies start to have the balls to look in the matter and openly discuss it, the snowball is inevitable.

Because it doesn't work and their economies, China especially, are only made possible through debasing their currency via money printing. Hard currency would end cheap money which would bring manufacturing to a screeching hault. Their economies would tank and fall into serious depression. People would starve and riot, and when your country is a one party state that equates to the end of the country. Why on Earth would China of all countries would want a gold backed currency? The PRC has literally only ever known fiat currency and it's how they've built their nation into what it is today. If you think they would shit the bed to have "sound money" then I'd like to sell my shit and call it fudge. It just shows how fucking stupid BRICS+ believers really are.

Here's why: The USD became the world's go-to currency because it was backed by gold. Being the world's currency opens the door for a level of money printing the CCP can only dream about now. But if they repeat what the USA did, start with a gold-backed currency and then pull the rug after everyone is hooked, they can get a taste of that sweet sweet inflation that gave the USA almost unlimited global wealth-extraction power for decades.

But to repeat the post-WWII dollar miracle, you need two things to happen. You need the dollar to stumble and you need to be able to issue a currency that the world will trust to replace the dollar. The first factor is being provided by the USA itself with its off-the-rails debt creation. The second will be gold.

So, the sensible plan for the long-term is to accumulate gold (without causing a self-defeating price spike), offload dollars (without causing a panic), and wait for the USA to destroy itself. Then issue a gold-backed trade currency. Get the world on board and then later on pull the rug and have a printing party.

>> No.57205308

The reason is so they can switch away from a currency the do not control. Go to Gold to get away from USD Fiat, then they will go back to their own fiat. Why can't you think a few steps ahead of saying insults? Shill-ome detected.

Why would China keep using USD Fiat when it keep getting printed and devaluated? Where will they go when they ditch the dollar?

I stack aluminum, meehanite cast iron, aluminum bronze, copper, silver, and gold in that order by weight. One of the most important things you can do is start a business. Then youhave income a stack is like a savings account, and just that. It may survive any financial judaism, however the need to produce, or even work with something real and tangible, is vital. Its no surprise pmg is full of smart hobbyists from all walks of life, most people here have gigs they do to supplement their main job, some are NEETs, however across the board most of us would like to retain our earnings whether immense or meager. There are a handful of other machinists lurking here too, we enjoy truth and metrology is just that, nobody can lie about measurements for a workpiece, the same goes with the precious metals. It is what it is, truth in the diameter, the mass, and the composition of the coinage [and bullionz]

I have been making napkin level drawings of a coin id like to see come about. The design could be whatever, but the ridges and the background need a herringbone pattern with an engine turned background. That airplane, "the spirit of st louis" has the same finish, but its difficult to see in the photos. At that time, sound money was still a thing and people had silver quarters and merc dimes intheir pockets. I heard that 50 cent pieces and silver dollars were slightly less common than seeing dimes, quarters, nickels, and pennies, thats what my grandfather told me. It's really heavy but my postal scale isn't very useful for knowing what it's worth. If it is a cupel button it's an interesting bit of mining and assay history, but the bottom is flat like it was poured out on a stone slab instead of cooled in the cupel. Odd bit of metal. Your PMDS (Precious Metals Derangement Syndrome) can only be the result of brainwashing and vaccination. Once again you have no facts, no links, no rebuttal. Nobody else on this thread even acknowledges your existence and I take pitty and answer your questions. If it makes you feel better, I got a few more people to stack silver this Christmas, and I 'm getting people to sell their stocks and crypto and go into a bit of silver and gold. If you live long enough from the vaxx and high blood pressure you have, maybe you can be my garbage man when the reset happens.

I'll be honest with you, before i held an eisenhower coin [cupronickel] i hated them, then i held one and fondled it and fell in love. Happens with a lot coins. I'll tell myself i wont like it and it ends up being one of my favorites. I think my all time favorite coin is a merc dime. They just seem like the best coins to me. Been organizing my stack. I just took delivery of the plate in the top right yesterday. What does /pmg/ think of it?

I also realized I ordered four seafood forks when the original set I ordered already came with 12 so now I have 16 seafood/cocktail forks. Oh well, the extra can be used for people to grab at shrimps or herring fillets at dinner.

I am still missing a carving knife for my ducks and pork shoulders and a knife for slicing and cutting cakes but hopefully I can find something reasonably priced.

How's the new year treating everyone, any delicious juicy cheapies slurped or tasty treasures dug up or lucked upon over the past few weeks? I added some nice coins to the collection and rediscovered 10oz of forgotten scrap sterling I got cheap 20 years ago but I haven't done much intentional stacking lately. Gonna get back in gear again soon but it has been nice focusing on hobbies besides just PMs over the past few months. Short story is the bank of Mom.
Long story is I was getting ready to sell my gold and silver that I saved up since moving out to get the down payment on a smaller house, but my mom wanted to retire and move in with me. When I was 6 years old my grandparents gave $20,000 to each grandkid with the intention of it being a college fund. My dad convinced him and his siblings to write the cheque out to him instead without an actual trust and he would take care of it. He used it as a down payment for a $50,000 house in my mom's name instead with the verbal promise that I'd get $100,000 when I'm an adult and ready to sell it. My mom honored the $100K after my dad died because he and I got into a fight and disowned each other.

I ended up being able to keep my gold and silver and it came at a good time. The guy I was renting from wanted to raise my rent from $650 to $1500 and so claiming the 100K and buying a house and having my mom retire worked out. People in this village were pretty sympathetic to my situation so they lowered the asking price of my house but in exchange I'd have to agree to not raise the rent on the 81 year old. I said I would let her stay there at $700/mo until she died and that locked in the sale. It works out because as long as the cash is only used for maintenance and groceries the tax authority says it does not need to be declared as income. That leaves me $700/mo in employment income free to spend on whatever.

It's marked sterling I don't think they made these in silverplate. I am too poor for the 6-pc tea and coffee set service that comes with waste bin and demitasse that but there is one on sale for about $6000 USD that I would buy if I had it. I asked about the weight and it came out to about 100% in premium versus the melt weight. I got the tray on eBay from anyiquecupboard. Model number #J46-2. EBay international shipping are amateurs because I got assessed duties and taxes on import, but after appealing it they dropped the duties and kept the sales tax. Normally when I buy this kind of stuff from the actual storefronts online they make sure I don't pay a cent in tax or duties.
I am keeping an eye on what holloware comes up for sale. I wouldn't mind some candle holders. I do have some sterling candle holders in a different pattern that I won off an auction site before I settled on the Royal Danish set

I worry about your safety since $700 wouldn't seem to be nearly enough to deal with the poisonous and corrosive gasses produced when wet refining metals. It's a bit like cooking meth, maybe a bit more dangerous. You at least want to get a fit tested respirator with gas cartridges, though a SCBA would be better. And then cook way out in the middle of nowhere where thick clouds of deadly and corrosive orange smoke won't attract much attention.

So basically the entire world economy has been running on unlimited debt and fiat fumes for a good part of half a century and is now catching up to everyone, but governments are doing their damnest to kick the can down the road for as long as possible which is basically exponentially worsening the inevitable crash, and the only way that governments will be able to facilitate the debts once money printing stops working will be to confiscate any and all wealth they can get their hands on, be it bank savings, stocks, certificates, even real estate, anything that is in some way tied to the current fuck-fuck market, and only assets that are operating separately such as gold, silver, and bitcoin will be able to survive this, and they're trying to fuck with even bitcoin by introducing the ETF's so basically it's metals or nothing.

Did I get that right?

Yes. Copper bullion is mostly used as a high-margin impulse buy similar to checklane candy. They are novelty products and not investments given the small size and the low price. I have about 100 pounds of copper pennies and occasionally pick up boxes of pennies to sort.
I also never bother to return them as I believe Zinc is also a sleeper metal waiting for massive returns. Being something like a quarter of the cost of Copper, it is an invaluable metal and the world's supply is draining quickly. Also, the fact that the coinage is state-minted gives you that little level of protection just incase.
The bull case for metals is astounding when you see the supply dropping off a cliff. What makes it all possible is the bond market being a vacuum for credit, which gives people financial incentives (as opposed to economic incentives) to sell their commodities for cheap. But packed deep inside of all of these metals, coins and bullion is not just the commodity, but all of the energy and labor required to standardize it into an investable product.
The only reason you spend/trade in ANY coinage is to buy silver. And nickels and copper pennies should absolutely get separated out and stashed away.

>> No.57212068

And as much as these graphics paint a gloom-and-doom scenario about supply. Remember that a higher price will shake out all kinds of stockpiles of copper. And interestingly a massive amount of crime will follow as low IQ criminals deconstruct million dollar pieces of equipment for pocket cash.
