I did this in the early 2000s before social media on MMORPGs and it worked really well, but soon as social media came along it became really hard to do this, guys expect you to have social media and generally ask you for that stuff, voice / video calls, etc.. really hard to take

Before social media you could just type and pretend to be a girl behind a female avatar, those days are long gone. It’s literally a relic of the old internet.

Theoretically with AI you could do it now, but not sure how exactly you’d go about that, it would require a ton of work front-loaded before you even start the whole pretending to be a girl online thing, you’d need all your social media accounts pre-setup, you’d need some way to render AI on a video call… maybe this will be easy for anyone to do in 10 years, but not now
