All this discussion about PODD peaked my interest so I did a little research into PODD. From what I can see PODD is actually a half way decent company, and PODD has been making money. The risk of buying PODD is of course that the value of the PODD stock price could go down, and people investing in PODD are exposed to potential losses if they stop making as much money. PODD sells a product that delivers insulin for diabetics. Now this is probably great for diabetics, as PODD makes their lives a hell of a lot easier, but I think there is risk that PODD has a problem with their devices and the people who use the product PODD produces end up getting too high or too low doses because of manufacturing defects caused by cheap chink/diversity hire manufacturing. This exposes PODD to the potential of their device actually killing diabetics through giving them like 3 days worth of insulin in one go, and exposes them to lots of law suits. There are only two days in a year where I let myself get my hopes up and usually get disappointed/depressed for a variety of dumb reasons. One of those days is Christmas where surprising my mom and sisters with the gifts I got them is the highlight helping to keep it from setting in. I got up on Saturday, used the bathroom, and was greeted by my masked mom to find out that we're going to be quarantining in our own home. My dad, the least responsible member of the family about going out since the whole lockdown madness started, had finally come back with a positive test result.

He's the source of a whole slew of family issues that's too long to get into. I do not buy gifts for him. He gets communal gifts from the rest of the immediate family. Everyone is sectioned off into their own spaces at home with my mom running everything and having to take care of him. The dental work my sisters and I have been trying to get her to get done for well over a year and some months was only recently getting good progress and that is going to have be delayed yet again.
