The people that control monetary policy use this pseudo science and your life is heavily influenced by their decisions. You might as well understand what their motives, or delusions, are informed by

All you need is to look at the markets without the need of meme-laws that don't last the time required to print them on a book

Most haven't. It's mostly libertarians buying literal gold-salesman propaganda or leftoids who turn everything into some moral battle. They're very similar in that everything they say presupposes that the economic is rigged against them by shadowy figures and their investment strategy wins by going against what "they" want - which in itself has the presupposition that the good guys always win.

The reality is that most investors are fucking retards and most "experts" are midwits who only look smart in comparison to the retarded investors. Furthermore, these midwits actually try to prop up the economy because it keeps the government that they control stable.

Did I say that? I didn't
So, how can you even read a book if you can't read a simple fucking sentence?

I don't think I have. I have read several finance and trading books. I started JMKs "Economic Consequences of the Peace," but I got distracted with Paradise Lost and never finished it. I read Three Days at Camp David - which is monetary and political history, but that's about as close as it gets. Once I'm done with options books, I'll probably move on to bonds or something.

Sowell is good at teaching concepts and how they play out in reality but he has a habit of bending the truth and sidestepping a lot of issues when they start to get morally inconvenient. He also tends to downplay the effects of shitty business practices and acts like they are less of an issue because they are inherently self-defeating. He also works hard to justify child labor and sweatshops as being okay since they are often the only sources of steady income in some shithole SEA country.

Yes, but the books are irrelevant. This is about human nature and emotional control. Making a decent plan was easier than sticking to it in the face of my own greed and emotion.
