There is no conspiracy to get cheap SAVE shares. Someone probably knows with certainty that the system is rigged and the buyout will fail. Whether that is due to a paid off Judge, or some internal Jetblue plans to secretly kill the merge, I can't tell you.

Short interest is growing. There is infinite supply of OTM calls being sold. The implied odds have tanked this past month from 40% chance of a successful merger down to around 10% odds today.
There's open OTM call options interest equating to 15 million shares for January alone. That represents 15% of outstanding shares. Add up the other months further out the calendar to July, you'll see another 5 mil or so. If you look at the transaction data, these have largely come from sales hitting at/near the bid.

Even today, short interest is already in excess of 10%. There's an incredible amount of Dec 15th puts also waiting to be exercised, including even more $7.50 puts that will likely go in the money soon.
Nov 17th would've been the last monthly expiry before this, but the options chain just got updated with weeklies so that even more puts can be bought, even more calls sold. It is known that the DoJ will absolutely never settle, so selling premiums against any short term upside is simply free money. There is a carry trade in selling this calendar spread.
There is zero reason for shares to trade higher until the verdict is laid down, and even those that have fooled themselves into thinking the merger has a chance are well aware of this fact.

Simply put, it's just fucked. I wouldn't be surprised if SAVE is trading below $5 by the time they receive that final confirmation that they've lost the trial. Their only choice left will be immediate bankruptcy.
