Buy an old sturdy car and reinvest the money spreaded with less risk and dividends so you can live of the yields.

Don't blow it on a car. Blow it on never having to work again instead.

Taycan/Panamera are good choices but in this case you might also look into e-tron or a RS7.

>>56547437
You can only transport yourself in a Cayman, you can't even carry a couple of suitcases. It's still the best enthusiast sport car by a wide margin (I mean the Alpine is great to but it's just not a Porsche, also not a manual) but it's meant for a sunday drive, not for daily life.

>can't even carry a couple of suitcases
yes you can, in fact a cayman has more space than a 911 or any other sportscar since it's a mid-engine and the luggage space is more than enough for the two passengers. As far as I know, that's complete bullshit. 718 is not a "super car" at 100k or whatever it is for the none GT versions. It's also nowhere near as rare and I bet there is at least some aftermarket for parts.

It's still very much a $400,000 / year income car, but it's nowhere near the same as a lambo/ferrari/mclaren/etc in terms of upkeep costs.

I imagine you can get a caliper for under $400, whereas for a lambo it might be more than several k.

I thought I guessed high, but guess not. Still, bet is 5-10x the price for a lambo.

With that said, I can't tell if this is a full caliper (aka with piston properly installed and maybe even caliper bracket) or JUST the metal without the piston / rubber components. If the latter, it's a pretty bullshit price.

Literally the only reason to get a G-Wagon is if you want to pretend to be the Sheikh's cousin's son's son's cousin or a Russian criminal who made his money in the 90s. Or a trophy wife.

this is why porsche 911 is the bland meme sports car. Once you go any higher, there is a big drop in reliability, labor costs, maintenance etc. Anything faster or more expensive than a 911 has major drawbacks even though it might be more exotic or better performing.

that would be extremely stupid imo

If you want a sport car I'd recommend a nissan 370z instead
Will cost you WAY less, will be more reliable, and still look good enough for any female to say ''nice car!''

also 350hp will be more than enough as far as power for a 1st car

>> No.56549159

>>56549067
Yea, I just checked other "wear" stuff and it's completely reasonable. As mentioned, it's within Civic territory, cheaper the Supra, Z, and the M2 on a lot of parts. Will check shocks next for final confirmation. Keep in mind, this is for one of the lower trims. I am sure GT4 is in the lambo range.

>>56549097
I can't tell where that is. Kind of looks like slavland, but kind of not. Can't even tell if it's europoor / slav mix or slav/durka mix. In either case, have you driven one? If not, go rent one for a day, they fucking suck. The suspension is floaty and the steering is loose, so you will have to be engaged 100% of the time.

>>56549106
I think this is spot on.

>>56549107
Interior a shit though. But yea, the 370Z is way better than what people give it credit for. Also, when you have that V6, 450hp is fairly easy since the idea is to "splurge".

I really, really think people are underestimating the attention even the Porsche will get, let alone exotics. You honestly don't want that kind of attention unless you really know what you are doing, even in a first-world country.

56549179

So yea, basically bottom line is that the 718 is cheaper, or on part with the CTR, Supra, and Z to maintain, probably cheaper than M2 but I am too lazy to look. I see why people get these now.

These are pretty much base factory Civic prices, though the Civic has a cheap aftermarket.

I also forgot to mention resale value, some cars can screw you hard on depreciation like mclaren or some exotics that no one cares to buy used. Really depends on the model though because the taycan/cayenne/panamera have poor resale value and it's hard to predict what porsches will end up being collected.

One thing that people also do not consider is that with cars like ferraris you are basically being extorted by the dealership service. Anyone buying a 250k used ferrari is going to want to see immaculate dealership service records, so you are not incentivized to do services yourself or to shop around. What do you think it will do to you ferrari 458's resale when your receipts show "Bubba's European Shop". Have fun paying $350/hr in labor.

For your first car go with a Miata ND, it's very cheap and very fun to drive.

Which results in the volume being split between the front and rear boot so it doesn't change shit. Besides you can move the rear seats down like in a 911.
