Video games are a pretty cost effective hobby desu. A game console lasts 5-10 years for a few hundred bucks and you get hundreds of hours entertainment from $60 to $80 game. It's better than spending $100 at the bar every weekend.

I'd reccomend getting a PC, you can work from it, trade from it, and game on it. Online gaming on PS is subscription based (on PC free) and you can't pirate PS5 like you can pirate PC games. Additionally with PC you get a massive back catalog of almost everything released ever include older consoles that are emulateable. On PS5 the only classic games you can get are the sony still have licenses for. Get a $500 power to price laptop it's the better move.

Nah it's good enough and cheaper than building a high end PC to play poorly optimized current games. I own both and my PC is only used to run excel and track my trades because nothing is good. Only poorfags will tell you that this is a waste of money because they don't own one and can't afford it. And yes, I also go to the gym, cook my own meals and have a salary job. I rarely think about how much something costs because I always save more money than I can spend.

I just bough a mid/upper mid high(12600k, 7800xt, aoc 1440p monitor) pc and it cost me 1.5k eur. ps5 is 500.
