gold (in an investment form) of at least 99.5% fineness
silver (in an investment form) of at least 99.9% fineness
platinum (in an investment form) of at least 99% fineness
Precious metals must be in a form that is tradeable on the international bullion market. Precious metals in an investment form carry a mark or characteristic that guarantees its fineness and quality. An investment/tradeable form may be a bar, wafer or coin but must be in the form and character of the metal only. A tradeable form means the metal is in a form as traded at a spot price for the metal only. Granules do not carry marks and are not investment form. Some gold, silver or platinum coins are not precious metals (see Collectable coins)

I don't think there will be a fiat crash. Just inflation. Don't fall for the doom porn on Youtube or here.
Hide your gold, put worthless trinkets like silver and gold plated jewelry into a fake safe, don't tell anyone that you have gold, not even friends.
It's safe to talk about it here, but that's it.

aka premium, i know. but the premium on a copper bar seems a little excessive.
and yeah, like you said, youd need quite a bit for it to make any sense.
i have a slow but reliable source for scrap copper from various kinds of wires. would probably still take a lot of time and effort to amass anything note worthy, and then id be taking up a huge risk getting caught stealing old network cables from my employer.
maybe ill buy a couple 1kg bars just for the fun of it. 6 to be exact to stack a little pyramid.

also, what about rust? copper rusts/tarnishes unlike gold. and silver is easy to keep in check. but if i were to buy copper bars, other than keeping them in shrink wrap, what could i reasonably do to prevent them from turning blue? is that even an issue with fine copper?

filtering for a spammer ID only works on a per thread basis and youd need to manually remove them eventually because you could accidentally filter out a different poster in a different thread that happens to have gotten the same ID (they arent infinitely unique)
if you want to filter AI slop specifically, at least the recent dall e 3 spam, filtering image dimensions of 1024x1024 is far more reliable. they can make other image dimensions, sure, but the vast majority is that specific dimension.

im not an expert on regex, but i would assume it simply looks at the string of [number1]x[number2] and filters it out. so 1024x1024 would filter out specifically that and nothing else. i bet you can do a regular expression that catches a certain range of dimensions in a single line but i dont know how to do that. most of the time its easier to just add a second separate filter instead of getting fancy with regex.

I doubt it, and there's always copper polish. It's such an inexpensive metal that losing a few molecules off the surface is meaningless. I imagine some people even like the green patina.

Ok but I don't use those plugins, scripts or whatever it is. I use Iridium browser on OpenBSD and try to keep everything as barebones as possible, since that makes keeping my system up to date easier. So far the basic filtering by ID has worked gud enough for me. Normally I just ignore the shills and trolls, but this AI spam is more annoying since it fills up the thread's image limit.

If there is ONE thing the ultra-(((elites))) are scared of is losing their ability to create money. Everything else, all their power, derive from this alchemical black-magick allowing them to spawn money (ie. stolen energy/work) into existence.

Do you believe it's by chance there is zero university class about philosophy of money? Or that normies are so desperatly clueless about what is money even though they spend their entire existence chasing it?

So yes, kids fuckers are scared of physical PM shortages, not because of the lack of PMs itself, but because the day it happens it will mean a critical masse of goyim woke up to the truth : that (((their))) entire empire is built on etherical mirages they sold to the masses as the real deal.

Silver isn’t something they want to make a quick Buck on.
It’s meant to be quietly tucked away and forgotten. The thing about being a prime mover in the economy is when a change is coming you have ample time to get all of your ducks in a row, you don’t have to accumulate or buy dips, you make the dip and buy. Then make your move. As for them being scared, yes, if even half of Americans said fuck the stock market and started buying silver it would be over for them. The game is to prevent any change in this regime unless it is sanctioned by them at the time that they want it.

No, but be sure to pick generic, well recognized stuff. What you should avoid at all cost is political cringe, like drumpf rounds or no step on le snek. Thankfully, they usually are sold at a premium to Qoomers so it's not like it will be an issue if you are looking for the cheapest stuff.

Also, make sure to stick to one design (the cheapest) once you start. It's easier to get rid of it at the best price (for you). For example if you wanna sell it on ebay, mixing coins will interest less people (it's also true for junk or gubment coins) and the auction will end lower usually.
Also, ebay only take a 2% commission for sales 2k worth and above, against 13% for sales below this threshold, so it's very interesting for you to have at least $2k worth of a similar coin/round to put on sale.

I recommend to only buy well recognized investment coins, these are easy to verify as "real" and official, even by noobs. Best of the lot, in my opinion, are Maple Leaf and Britannia, as they have security every buyer can verify at home.
If you buy, don't buy one coin and call it a day, buy a bunch, they come in rolls at 25 or monster boxes at 500. Picrel are 50 Britannias and 25 Maple Leafs.

> nor do i buy Philharmoniker,
Those are overall the best coin to buy in Europe. They're very cheap and have excellent resale value. I don't care at all about the "security features" they added on britannias and maples, because .999 silver coins are trivial to verify. It's not like we're talking about numismatics that have intricate fakes, including ones made of the same metal composition.
But last year I bought 600 britannias because they were cheaper than wieners. But I also bought some wieners too, and more this year because the britannias went up in price (probably due to the queen/king stuff). I bought only one britannia this year: an old one from 2017 with the trident privy mark (20th anniversary). Yeah, so it's just a collector item.
But when I can get them cheap, I buy noah's arks. I have many of these, around 1375 ozt of them (some are kilo pieces). Prices are very good and helped to keep the average of all my coins well below 24 euros/oz. I also like the design of the coin (both sides are nice!) and the theme as well. The story of the flood that exists in all ancient cultures around the same time. We have another flood today, but it's not water., it's a flood of debt. But the concept remains the same: if you prepare, you'll weather the storm.

Hello friends, need some advice. I have to sell my stack to pay off my mortgage right now. If I go to Wells Fargo and walk up to their desk and pay $9000 towards my mortgage, on two different occasions, am I going to set off any red flags? Is the bank going to start tattle-telling on me that I paid in cash and it is suspicious?

I don't fucking recall what I bough all these PMs for at the time of purchase. I am pretty damn certain I am just barely breaking even at best, losing quite a bit most likely. After the premium to buy the PMs and now getting a little scalping on the selling end, I'm not profiting here. I just want to use some cash that was temporarily in the form of metal. I earned this fucking money and I want to do what I want to do with it.

I feel I am not violating any tax laws. I am selling at a loss. Anyway, here is a thought experiment -

>Man saves cash money in coffee can for 10 years.
>Accumulates $9,000.
>Decides he wants to put it towards his mortgage balance.
>Goes to Well Jewgo counter and gives them $9,000 to go towards mortgage principle.
>Goes home. Repeats the process 2 weeks later with $9,000 he saved in another coffee can.
>Mortgage paid in full.
>Man goes home and takes a nap.

Do you see any problem here? Honest question. If/when anyone asks me where I got the money, what if I really do have some money in coffee cans and I exclaim this fact?

What? No way. If he sells his metals for more than he paid, he will have to report capital gains on his normal tax return and pay some tax on it, just like any other appreciating asset. If he lost money, he won't owe anything and he could write off the capital loss against any other capital gain. Nothing weird or sinister about buying and selling metals or any other lawful asset.

Is there any problem with that scenario? This is in a very southern red state. DO they require someone to pay tax on inherited PM's they sell?

>If he lost money, he won't owe anything and he could write off the capital loss against any other capital gain.
That is the thing, I know I am losing money on the sale but didn't document shit. Who the fuck does that. Maybe I have receipts but I don't want to break the fucking law. Believe me I hate this shit but if I'm going to jail, it isn't going to because the IRS says I defrauded them. Is it good enough that I believe I have lost. Can I just say so? Why the fuck would i need to prove I didn't do something, (prove I did not owe), that is basically what they would be saying, "Prove you don't owe." That would be akin to, "Prove you didn't commit this crime." No that is not how it works. They government has to say I commited the crime and prove it by offering what they think is proof. Then I can counterdict their proof. Why is it backwars with the IRS?
Also, am I not bearing witness against myself if I am forced to report income that may be from an illegal source? Like Al Capone, they got him on tax evasion. Couldn't it be argued that his income came from a criminal organization, and to claim that as income he would be admitted to a crime. Therefore to make him report his income would constitute depriving him of his right to not be forced to bear witness against himself.
Look I am not trying to go down the philosophical anti-IRS argument here, I just want to get some money back for something I need done and not pay the government more money on a loss!

Wow Anon... that's a lot to unpack
First, WF is not going to take your PMs as payment. You'll have to sell it first.
If you pay with cash, the bank won't have to do any reporting until you submit more than $10k in one lump. The tricky bit is why you're paying on two occasions: you might trigger a "suspicious activity" report (unless you have an obvious reason) as one who is evading the $10k cash reporting trigger. To avoid that, accept a check from the LCS (or wherever) when you sell the PMs, and deposit that into your account. That will not be treated like cash and the $10k limit does not apply.
Then if you're going to report for capital gains tax, there's the question of profit. Doesn't matter what you believe is your gain/loss. If you get audited you'll need proof - sales receipts. If you don't have any, the gov't will assume you acquired them through inheritance or as payment for favors/work done... point being you'll owe taxes on all of it because there is no way to calculate a profit. You may be able to fight this, but it'll take work and probably cost you lawyers. Then you have to decide what costs more - taxes on the full amount, or the lawyer's fees?
I hope your situation helps motivate the conspiracists here to think twice about not keeping records and receipts.

just sell in private, anonymously. yeah, if you suddenly get a fat stack of money and waddle up to wells fargo with it its no surprise people will get the IRS will get suspicious. if you dont want that, just keep it on the down low.

Wow. Very great response. Thank you. Let me propose a hypothetical for you:
>man has PMs
>man sells PMs to LCS and receives cashiers check for $XX,XXX
>man deposits cashiers check into bank account
>man uses bank account funds to pay off mortgage
>man takes nap
>man receives letter from IRS asking what the $XX,XXX cashiers check is all about
>man has photographic memory and uses pencil and paper to document all his PMS purchases pre-sale to LCS, and mails that document to IRS
-pencil written document shows man sold for a slight loss on all PMs

Any thoughts on that? Thanks again for you thoughtful and detailed response.

>>56301089
hear you bro. I am trying to do that but I am not familiar with the system. I feel confident I can do what you describe but I also have gotten surprise letters from the IRS in the past and they spark dread. I am trying to avoid that.

A simple way to avoid all this is by depositing the extra money in a couple of different bank accounts at completely different banks they have no access to, and then moving the money to your other bank for the mortgage at different times, i would say more than a month apart for two large sums, and pay it, or do small weekly installments like 1000$ a week, in all seriousness, the bank will not care for such a small sum, 18k is not a lot of money, they don't want the IRS getting involved either

>> No.56301259

>>56301148
>Any thoughts on that?
Two: 1) A cashier's check is treated like cash. The bank will report it on IRS Form 8300. Get a company check from the LCS.
2) Having eidetic memory is useful in many instances, but not here. A hand-written note saying 'your dog ate the homework' won't fly with them.

2 times 9 grand does not an Al Capone make. You're worrying too much. If it will make you feel better, sell your stack for cash, go to a casino, turn your cash into chips, 2 hour later convert those chips back to money and get a receipt.

If it's over $10k, the casino will still report it to the IRS. You'd be paying CGT on the full amount.
Perhaps splitting the cash between a couple of casinos...
For the ultra-paranoid, there might be a trigger comparing how much gambling was actually done in the casino vs how much you're cashing out. Remember - casinos were born out of those who are gangsters and are professionals at financial fuckery.

I was going to wait for the weekend, but it's already pumping (at the same exact time the off-topic fudders showed up in this thread, really makes you think).
So I guess I'll try again next week, after all this bullshit jobs data gets revised and markets tank again.
Also here's an interesting coin. Price isn't so great (they want like 33 euros for it) but I can't get canadian junk easily here so might buy it. I don't have very many canadian coins, just 26 maples, the 2 oz werewolf, and the 2017 lynx.

No you don't. If that is the real ration and the current ratio is like 80 then you need to be exclusively stacking silver. The price can fluctuate all it wants but so long as you trade these ratios then you can end up with more metal than if you initially diversify.
I'm closer to like 600:1 personally. I wouldn't entirely liquidate my gold for silver but there is a compelling case to do so.
Some people even claim the mining ratios are closer to 8:1

Here are some .900 silver 5 francs "hercule" coins from the same era >>56291447 (more pics in previous thread).
There were also other designs of similar 5 francs coins (napoleon, ceres, louis philippe...) with the same exact 22.5 g silver content. So they're basically the same coins.
I don't have any 20 francs gold coins from that era to post with them, but those all have 5.8 g gold. So the ratio is very similar:
one 20 Fr gold coin (5.8 g) = four 5 Fr silver coins (22.5 g)
22.5 * 4 / 5.8 = 15.51724

If this guy's mortgage is $9k/month I assume he's already moving larger amounts of money around through his bank regularly. I don't think they'll care much, and as others have said, just get a check from the coin shop is all. Maybe hit a few places and only sell 4oz at each if the $10k thing is a concern. Deposit checks with your phone or an ATM and pay the mortgage online after the checks clear. I doubt it's gonna raise any red flags.
