Here are some common worries about crypto and blockchain because they haven't been widely adopted yet. These issues, they go beyond just security stuff like hacks and include lack of understanding, privacy concerns, regulatory uncertainty, fraud, interoperability and more. Kek, crypto is not for weak people.

The average age of a major spender in the US is somewhere in their 50s. These people still view phones and computers as novelty items beyond their understanding, they are TV watchers. Once a younger age group becomes the primary consumer, whether its Millennials or Gen Z, crypto has a chance at widespread normie adoption. The counterpoint to this is the continued browning and dumbing down of Gen Z might preclude anything except a simplified front-end with crypto as the backbone architecture. We can't expect our new, brave, diverse society to learn how to set up a MetaMask wallet, it's just too much for them. My bet is that the banks will come up with a Chainlink replacement that specifically exists to jew linkies out of their expected money, because that's just how they roll.

Many reasons:

1. Most of its advocates are money hungry geeks larping as revolutionaries yet rugpulling every single project they create. The people who are genuinely passionate about crypto and don't care about the money and would gladly build for free can be counted in one hand. The rest are all scammers, from devs, to VCs, to fucking "DAO" ecosystems where the fucking "foundation" owns most of the supply through various distribution schemes, it's all a scam wrapped in vaporware and spaghetti code that doesn't mean shit and doesn't really solve any problem.

2. Lack of regulatory clarity so the serious players can't invest much into the space and its development.

3. Culture of gambling/degeneracy emanated from get rich quick schemes, meme coins, NFTs, and other shit that contributes nothing to the space which destroyed its credibility in non-crypto circles.

4. Boomers already made their money as they lived their lives on easy mode and could buy houses by 100k or less so they give zero fucks about crypto and other novel technologies.

5. Zoomers follow what ever trend there is on tiktok and the trend right now is that crypto is a ponzi for retards so they won't touch it and stick to gambling on stocks instead.

6. Countries like the US are backward degenerate cesspools that prefer hindering innovation by having extremely unfair laws and relying on the howey test to classify just about everything as a security even though the howey test was never mean't for cryptocurrencies so any geek with talent has 2 choices: Leave the country or build non-crypto products.
