first, block proposal isn't leader selection. there is no consensus leader since blocks are voted on through the leaderless avalanche consensus. second, anyone can propose blocks at anytime. they put in a anti-spam mechanism which creates a weighted random list validators that can propose blocks for free. the small changed fucks over block spammers with the added fee (mostly MEV niggers) while still giving everyone the ability to propose blocks more or less normally. before that change, block proposal spammers were basically DDOSing the network trying to front-run in the mempool since they can't do MEV on consensus (leaderless). MEV rats looking for scraps until they got completely blocked off by snowman++. not surprising that the only people who had an issue with snowman++ were those same MEV parasites that came up with the gay propaganda you are parroting.

just for fun I'll have a shot. The key here is that block proposers get the MEV. The weighted random list is not truly random and that's all you need to know. That just makes it insider MEV (ie the exact same as ETH rollups)
