Because the S&P 500 is tilted towards large cap growth companies. It's part of the paradigms of investing that swap back and forth

Larges vs Small
Growth vs Value
Domestic vs International

There will be long periods of time where one out performs the other before they swing back and forth. And for a multitude of psychological reasons one of the, the domestic large cap growth stocks, tends to under perform because investors tend to flock to them.

The problem is that the duration they can swing for is almost generational so you'll get a bunch of new investors that never saw anything but big large caps go up and so don't believe it.

You are ignoring one important change in paradigm, which is who is investing the money. Currently we have whales that completly mogged whales from 30 years ago that can only meaningful returns in large cap stocks are small caps are iliquid. The reason why everything is expensive is because whales have few picks to make a considerable return to their money. People like Buffet have the capital to buy the entire chemical industry if they wanted to, and with that amount of wealth you can realistically invest in like 50 companies if you want any real return

So let me get this straight, government spending exacerbates the issues we have right? And they have allegedly spend trillions to help aid other countries right? All the while money supply has been contracting and interests rates are high and will remain that way for a long time. The only logical conclusion is that they are doing this on purpose because they want something to break. Why would any one continue to spend money unless they which to see a specific outcome to unfold?

Would like to start as an intern then clinical associate then grind to manager. I know it takes time and everything but basically I had 2 days at Nestlé and it really got me interested.
I need to start with an intern position but it's really not easy to find.
My degree is in nursing I worked in cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology now I'm doing a master's degree in research in nursing activities which is a bit of a meme really but there is a part about clinical trials and all and It's a good way to find people and find a position as a research assistant or else.
I just want want to get out of the hospital I'm tired of being the good guy everyone applaud during covid while I was barely sleeping because we had strokes and infarct every f night.

My best advice would be to search for the top pharma companies and whatever other companies are contracted to conduct/support RCTs and then go to their websites, their career pages, and search "nurse" or "nursing". You'll have to do some searching but you'll find positions you're potentially qualified for and then just from there. Book mark those searches and check them often. Also tidy up your CV, have friends/colleagues review it. Finding positions is itself a grind. That was the general approach I took for the position I interviewed for yesterday. But yeah, basically find a pharma/pharma supporting company and go from there. Sorry, that probably isn't very helpful.

Stand aside libtards, oil enjoyers first. Even the energy secretary signals that oil takes priority.

https://nypost.com/2023/09/12/cops-called-after-jennifer-granholm-staffer-uses-gas-powered-car-to-hold-ev-charging-spot-for-biden-energy-secretary/

>A Georgia family called 911 earlier this summer after a staffer for U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm used a nonelectric vehicle to hog the only open EV charging station outside a local Walmart while the Biden administration official was still en route.

>Granholm, 64, was on a four-day road trip from North Carolina to Tennessee, promoting green energy with a traveling caravan of electric and nonelectric vehicles, when a member of her advance team used a gasoline-powered car to reserve a charging station for her, according to NPR, angering at least one family who had been waiting in line.

>The inconsiderate practice is known as “ICEing” — a reference to the internal-combustion engines inside gasoline-powered vehicles — and is subject to a $100 fine in Washington, DC, where the Department of Energy is headquartered, but it is not illegal in Grovetown, where the June incident occurred.

>“There’s literally a nonelectric car that is taking up the space, who said they’re holding the space to somebody else, and it’s holding up a whole bunch of people who need to charge their cars,” a furious woman told a 911 operator, according to the Augusta Press.

They're still fucking retards.

The 8-10% overall stock market return is for fucking Vanguard and Blackrock who need to pump in hundreds of billions into the market. Of course when you need that kind of volume your returns aren't going to be amazing.

Vanguard and Blackrock can't just take a position in some 50M micro cap with great returns because if they try to allocate even 0.01% they destroy the price. This is the biggest advantage that the individual investor has over institutions. The individual can actually get a good position in a micro or small cap with good returns. Also institutions have to care about tracking error so they can never deviate that much from the overall index.

When you're a small fish you can easily compound at 15-20% per year using factor investing and only picking the best 20-30 stocks every 6 months. Couple that with wageslaving and in 10-15 years you're set and it's basically a sure deal.

1. Rank all stocks by EV/EBIT and pick the top 40% cheapest

Anon thats not flat. Thats a 8% drop in 3 months. Wheres the bottom on that? It gained 1 from last week but not exactly a flat bottom yet. Yeah $90 is good price but all of them are being asked by shareholders to return capital instead of investing it in capex. Production volumes are a double edged sword I think. If they cut CAPEX and drill less they risk undercutting production guidance, and in doing so hurting the share price and the shareholders. I may be biased about this but I do think public companies with low margins and/or gigh decline rates (a lot of US shale operators) are kind of between a rock and a hard place with their production and costs

I'm Norwegian and we have a fuck ton of tiny cap oil stocks that all have PE's in the 2-5 range.
