Every time I want to quit my current job, or get a 2nd programming job, I think about the upcoming humiliation ritual and close the app midway through. Jobs are a theft of your labor, you build things as an engineer to make others rich, and only keep maybe 1% or less of the profits that would not exist without your automation to begin with. I guess that's the nature of a "job" though. It was never meant to be a charity, or even an opportunity for YOU to make money. In fact, it is an opportunity for them, to make money, for themselves from your labor, without which they would lose out on some opportunity X. They are literally hiring you because X opportunity would escape them for millions of USD if they didn't have staff "working the line."
