With everything getting more expensive, is there a scenario where we abandon the dollar and go to a different currency? Say gold backed? What happens if everyone decided tomorrow to return to gold and precious metals? Say it's not government backed, but every citizen decides to use gold again. What would the response be?

thats a lot of questions
all fiat in history never ends well. so yes there is a scenario and actually i would say it's inevitable. the whole reason why humans default back to gold is because it does absolutely nothing and good to look at, stable and scarce. but nixon took off the gold standard because the US realized there isn't enough gold bits per person. if you have hoarders, tech that use gold, and people demanding fair wage compensation that rises every year or so.

had the world were suddenly use precious metals again, A LOT of people would go broke and starving. imo

No, he did this to take control of all the gold. Especially his jewish backers. Gold still will have value. We already were using silver. The gold standard was all a Fed arrangement.

The point of gold is to disconnect from banks and governments.

And if someone is cheating you out of gold, then dont do business with them.

It's a $2000 mistake, minimum. I was a drug dealer. I got fake gold once, never accepted it again.

That's your fault for not having the proper appraisal. You cheaped out on it so you deserve being cheated

You would have been given counterfeit cash and still cheated out. No matter what the trade was

I can tell if weed is weed and coke is coke in seconds and usually identify the strain of weed as well since I am the original grower of crippy and triangle kush. Unfortunately a gold appraisal will take time and since the water density test is not accurate, it's not worth it to try to measure the displacement difference of different sized bullion.

the coin will be larger but have the same press, the only way to tell is water density test and for these smaller coins it could be a 1mm different on the side of a clear plastic cup. not viable as a daily currency with coin clipping.

Then dont do business with jews since they were the majority coin clippers. You can call me pol for this but thats the truth for anyone that followed the history of coins
