56058795 No.56058795 [Reply] [Original]

Just got a job offer from these goys. As an engineer I wanted to work here for a long time. Pay is amazing and lockheed experience is worth more than a masters degree. Going to tell them nevermind on Monday beacuse I want a work from home job...
Am I doing the right thing? I feel like not working from home is the worst type of rape u can experience in the 21st century..

I think you're doing the right thing. For once in history, working conditions have changed. If we give it up, they will never and I mean NEVER give it back to us. I'm holding out for fellow Anons. Since 2020 been remote, make about 120K living inside a national forest as well. Every morning I can go on a hike, and I still come in and do my programming chores.

I will fight the fed. There will be a day when Jerome's rates force me to go back, but today is not that day.

The text contains a discussion thread from a 4chan board where someone is seeking advice about a job offer from Lockheed Martin. The original poster is considering turning down the job because they want a work-from-home (WFH) position, but others in the thread advise against it, emphasizing the value of experience and the potential for future WFH opportunities. Some users mention other defense contractors that offer WFH options, while others express skepticism about the feasibility of remote work in the defense industry. Overall, the consensus is that taking the job and gaining experience is important, even if it means initially working in an office setting.

There are not many reasons to turn this down. Certainly not no wfh unless you have children and a working wife. I would understand moral issues but no wfh seems peak decadence.
