I became a NEET in 2004 at 10th grade. Now 35.

I went NEET because I was shit at high-school so that meant Id have 0 chance at university, and I was also (and still am) not good with my hands, and hate being outside, so doing a skill trade was never an option.

So my only options were

Option 1) Minimum wage shit job and never get anywhere and be a loser

Option 2) NEET and never get anywhere and be a loser


Choosing option 2 was the easy choice, and before you say

Honestly there is not enough time in the day. I stay up for 36-48 hours at a time doing stuff and I forget the time has gone by.

I lift weights everyday, so its not like im just sitting on the computer with 0 energy output.

I am so easily distracted by stuff that the last 20 years of being a NEET has felt like a few years at best.

Probably something to substitute college requirements. I think most white collar workplaces would be extremely grateful for computer skilled average white dudes who will work for slightly less than average. Of course this then also opens you up to actual druggies and other people who didn’t go to college. But I firmly believe most NEETs are extremely capable individuals who just want as little commitment as possible to society, and a good paycheck and interesting work is just the right incentive to get them productive again.

That's literally anyone anon, go to any third world Country literally anywhere whether it's in Eastern Europe or South America and you will see the ones at the bottom of the food chain do as little as they can and consistently bludge at their jobs or try to not work at all. Truth is, the global NEET movement at large is way more alive than perceived. I have a shit kicker job for example that pays me well, I may have a job but Im a NEET in spirit because the amount I leech/slack off at my job is pretty high along with it being the best paid work Ive had along with my commute expenses covered.
