Silver collectible coins. But I have strict limits on how much I'll spend on any single coin.

I bought a $1500 espresso machine. I would consider it at least a partial investment though because since buying it I have dropped my purchases of espresso drinks from coffee shops by about 90%. By my rough calculations (assuming it costs about $1 to make a latte at home, vs $5 at a shop) it has already paid for itself to the tune of about $700.

Good craft beer - not really a "luxury" but expensive enough to make me buy less thana if I were buying Miller or something, and crafts usually have higher ABV so a sixer of craft still gets me fucked up about the same as a twelve rack of lager. Everyone's got a vice and this is mine.

Travel is the only one.

I guess there are a few grocery options I opt for that are marked up, but we are talking like $10-ish a week AT MOST for that sort of thing. But travel is the only thing I'm not miserly about. And I used to be a rampant consoomer spender who would drop money on any sort of bullshit.

Also if I push myself hard enough with exercise I get a little endorphin rush, and sometimes when I'm out of the house people will talk to me which is nice. I also get a little spike of happiness when one of my papers gets published (I'm a professor). But otherwise there's just not much for me in this gay shit world I guess.

Unironically this >>55983470 - in the sense that living around people with similar values who want a high quality life leads to a better lifestyle.

Here's a non-comprehensive list

>High quality foods + delivery services
Buying organic foods, grass-fed and free-range meats, etc. makes me feel better about the foods that I am eating and probably is healthier for me as well. I also get most of my shopping done via delivery services like Instacart. It ends up being an extra $5-10/week but I save time not having to go into grocery stores or deal with the plebs.

>Better quality clothing
Not flashy stuff, but buying well-fitting clothes made of premium materials makes you feel good and increases your self-confidence. They also last longer.

>Private membership clubs
I'm part of a health club (really, a gym) and it's great being able to go in and use nice, maintained equipment without a fuck ton of people around. It's not as busy, better quality and therefore a more enjoyable experience.

>RELIABLE vehicles
I'm not a carfag, but when I purchased a new car it was terrific. I don't have to worry about maintenance for a few years and I am confident that nothing is going to suddenly break or lead to an unexpected bill. Having a cheap, shitty old used car sucked. The new car can still be a Toyota, it doesn't matter, but ensuring it is safe and reliable leads to a better experience.

I'm willing to pay a premium for anything that is good value and leads to a higher quality experience (and therefore, a better lifestyle). I'm not giga-rich though, so small incremental improvements like flying private vs first/business class are out of scope.

It says Bukhara, which is the city I got it in. The large plates, which I have, are made by the master craftsman. The smaller ones which I didn’t buy are made by his students. This one plate was months of work. Work he has been doing for 40 years. Very few if any imperfections. His own design.
