There’s ONE (1) report of gold grains being used in Venezuela and apparently that’s in a mining region where people are used to gold grains/gold dust, so it’s a literal nothingburger.

>We are all in agreement BRICS will be a nothing burger, right?
It will be a nothing burger in the sense that nothing will change immediately. Retards seem to think that hand shakes between political leaders will instantly change the currency in our pockets. All anyone should care about is seeing the formal agreement between these nations to start building one to replace the USD. If that doesn't happen, then we will have to wait until next year to see if it will happen then.

As a side note, it will be interesting to see what development will happen now that Chinese real estate firm recently filed for bankruptcy.

precious metals can aid in agorism:

agorism with a parrallel circular monetarist economy is really what can take down the governments.

step 1. get a group of people to each produce a good or service youd generally already buy

step 2. pay each other in precious metal or anonymous cryptocurrency (rn xmr is the best)

step 3. dont pay taxes or declare the money within this system to anyone

step 4. work a part time chill job, create content with patreon, do something to have normie income.

literally the only way to take down the state and biggest corps.
"how does this take down big corporations?"
its cuz the government is fuckin paid by them and paying them anyways. plus if you are trying to support local, then you will give giving less money to them.

I doubt it. Very few coins I'm looking at have this 41mm 2 oz format. It's basically only those from that Perth mint series.
Worst case I can just keep them in small plastic ziplock bags. Not sure I'll even buy these coins yet. There's other 1 oz ones I could get that are just as interesting. And also, with 1 oz coins, you get twice as many different ones.

You can look for yourself, mate. None of these dealers have 2 oz 41mm capsules.
Acheter-Or-Argent.fr
goldsilver.be
europeanmint.com
They have capsules for 2 oz 39mm coins like Queen's Beasts, Tudor Beasts, Canada Creatures of the North, etc. They don't have capsules for the 2 oz Next Generation coins. BUT the 10 oz Next Generation coins already come in capsules, as do most 1 oz collectible coins from Perth mint.
So this is obviously an uncommon format, as are the weird 3/4 oz, 1.25 oz canadian coins.

I can't imagine how you derive that odd conclusion from what I wrote. I merely stated the incontestable historical fact that all scams and all empires fall. Given that fact, the logical conclusion is that the American empire and USD scam will also fall.

My characterization of the USA as corrupt and the USD as a scam, assertions that are supported by fact, in no way constitutes an endorsement of any other entity. Implying that I must choose allegiance to the USA or the CCP (as you have done previously) is a false dichotomy. Your logic is flawed.

Even if the USA is the lesser of evils, a conclusion which I don't think is supported by the evidence, that is still no defense of the USA and its policies.

maybe only that I had had a clearer appreciation the difference between spot price and actual vendor sale price.
i mean, i guess it is pretty simple and obvious. but i probably didn't give it the proper attention I could have, ir regards to the options of seeking out the lowest premiums when i was buying.
of course its only in hindsight that i second guess it. because in the beginning i never knew i was going to eventully have a stack i big as i do now.
not that its a big stack compared to many others, but its mre than i expected i would have accumulated.

tl:dr; I wish I would have payed more attention to premiums and tried harder to buy at lower premiums

Basically everything in this list here. I brought two 1oz gold bars without realizing they're not free from capital gains tax, so I ended up selling them so I could get some coins instead. I didn't lose much in terms of potential profits, but it still hurts that I could have more metals if I knew then what I know now.

Hey frogbro, was that you who posted several days ago about buying 3 medieval French silver Gros Tournois coins, and if so did you receive them yet? They are some of the coolest hammered silvers around, very classy old coins. I've bid on some but don't own any yet. Not sure if you saw but I recently bought a collection of 79 ancient coins for just $500 from a LCS, I'll keep the most appealing ones then sell the rest and make excellent profit, dude gave me a superb deal. Here's one of my favorite keepers, Sasanian silver was wide and thin so is more impressive to look at than a usual ~4g coin.

hey Scrapfren. Yes it was me, and they just arrived today by the mail! On top of the medieval coins, i also won an auction for 2 monetary weights for spanish Reales used by medieval bankers from the same seller. I think i got a pretty good price for those, but idk how liquid they are, being R2/R3 i'm not sure how many ppl are collecting this kind of oddities.

My phone is charging, gimme few minutes and i'll post them.
About the coins i'm a little worried because they are a bit lighter than the weight displayed on Numista, but apparently their weight decreased over the years (usual story of kingdoms starting dodgy stuff with their money to finance wars...).
And the seller provided a mail from the largest numismatic store over here with an expert confirming they are genuine and proposing to buy them back, so it's probably just paranoia on my end due to my newbieness..

>Not sure if you saw but I recently bought a collection of 79 ancient coins for just $500 from a LCS

People shit on silver nickels but you still got a good deal at ~$0.60 a nickel. That's like less than half of scrap value. Even though they trade under spot most of the time you still got it significantly cheap.

You can't get your premiums back if you buy silver.
Selling a 5000€ of silver in 1oz coins is a pain in the ass, unless you are willing to sell below spot.
You can't really easily transport 10k€ worth of silver bars.

All of this means, you want gold, the kind that is well recognized, that has security features you can check yourself. These can be sold for at least spot in any LCS, you buy for 1.5% to 3% max over spot.
Shipping cost is to be added to the premium!

Keep everything in a Excel or Google sheets table, what you bought, when, how much and so on.

metals can't moon until people are educated on what they are, an escape to safe haven. Until they figure that out, it will never change over. As the market changes, the NPC's will be forced into it as they follow smart money.

The USD will not collapse soon.

Depends on what that money you want to deposit is supposed to do. Is it risk free emergency fund money? Then just keep it in a regular bank account.
Is it an investment? In that case it sounds okay. $100 000 invested would yield $3 000, not bad for low risk investment.
If this money supposed to be used in a long term investment, i would look at stocks, as even just a MSCI World yields over 10% in the long term (looking at 30 to 40 years).
If you don't have PMs yet at all, it might be wise to have some. See it as an insurance for a hard recession, not an investment, and you will be fine.

you fucking idiot, you need people to put their currency into gold to get it to go up. You need to do your fucking job and educate people until they're is an awakening that we work for a currency that is printed out if thin air by the slave master and we need to switch to money that can't be inflated away which forces the slave owners to utilise their capital and severely drains their power and puts resources back into the economy so it's no longer slavery.

Until you wake people up and get them to move into the safe haven that is precious metals, then nothing will happen and the price will not move.

You just don't get it. Fiat is credit and credit keeps the economy afloat. If the economy dips, make credit cheaper.
Take away credit, and the economy contracts.
Inflation is only a problem if you see fiat as a store of value, which it isn't. It never was. It's not designed to do this.
Inflation melts away old debt, the older the dept, the faster it melts. It's a perfect system, which is why almost every economy has copied it.
If you want a true store of value go for gold.
