Any and all things "quantum" is 100% quackery. There has never been quantum computer (the way the quantum-advocates themselves describe one) and never will be ever. There will only forever be computers operating on classical physics aka real physics, which the universe itself operates on (it doesn't operate on imaginary jewish quackery).

Updating the encryption method will create new addresses for every single address which would be a pain in the ass to handle especially for CEXs. And once the original addresses has been cracked they'll be able to see which addresses have BTC then just input the seed phrase into the new encryption function and they now have access to that quantum Bitcoin wallet
