Market cap is already pretty fair for what TAO is currently. Like around 300 million and 1.5 billion fully diluted. Not sure if the current market will reward them much more unless a full bull is returning.
They need to demonstrate that they can improve on the best publicly available LLMs. Last time I checked their results somewhat worse than GPT 3.5.

Definitely should mix in smaller coins like AGRS which have like 4.5 million market cap and 10 million fully diluted. Ironically the project behind the coin AGRS is called Tau.net or Tauchain. But they are much older than Bittensor.

The thing about TAO is that they need to provide value. Like there is no value in 10.000 free instances of GTP2 circle-jerking each other for mining rewards.

At least the recent changes absolutely demolished rewards for miners that did exactly that. Now Bittensor miners need to get some more performant models.
I believe large part of the recent pump comes from this but also their tokenomics model.

With smaller coins such as AGRS oftentimes their are no sharp tokenomics yet at play or not even active.
They are first focusing on using Tau for generalised software development but their specialized tech can also be used for discussion scaling where you can have a thread with millions of Anons and still know what's going on. With regard to voting it can help you vote millions of times per day according to your worldview.
The Blockchain is also self-amending and can change dynamically block by block according to user specification.
Anyway, I'm more in for the tech and I'm excited for all these projects.

Ye i noticed the sharp spike in price out of nowhere when it was at $30
