Being rich is not just about having a lump sum of money but often a repeating source of income. With proper budget you can actually live quite well with very little money. The need to be "rich" is all in your head and exactly what I was talking about with what is wrong with the psychology of middle class peasants. The old saying is quite compelling that a fool and his money are soon parted. If you had $200,000 land in your pocket right now you should theoretically be able to last it the rest of your life if you're smart. Most people would rather consume it like arcade tickets rather than a nice chunk of financial capital.

Most people you see with expensive cars and houses often have garbage financials because their big paychecks go straight out the door as soon as they get it. Think about how much money you lose when you drive a new car off the lot. Like half of the value just evaporates. A lot of new cars are even $30k-$75k each. I think that is far too much money to shell out for the sake of status. And that is one of many opportunities people have to squander their wealth.
