Hello everyone, 18-year-old male here getting ready to work after I pass my driver's License.

I just want to know how much I could expect to be paid each month if I work around 20 hours per week (I'm in full-time education) I'm aiming to earn around 13 pounds per hour but I am unsure if it is realistic.

I also have some mental conditions such as Autism (High-functioning) ADHD, OCD and I'll throw in Depression and Anxiety for fun, would I be entitled to extra cash whle being employed?

Expect to make 624 pounds a month.

That's not too bad, I was aiming to make around 800 pounds a month, what would I have to do, or how many more hours would I have to work to acheive this?

>>55754905

If you worked 20 hours a week at £13/hour you'd make around £1000 per month: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/tax-calculator/ And that's with 3% pension contribution.

I'm quite sure you won't get monetary benefits for autism etc if you're in full time education.

Nice, 1000 a month would be good, hopefully not enough to be taxed.

What if I wasn't in full-time education? Would I be able to get monetary benefits then? what would qualify for benefits?

UK employer here. Given your profound mental retardation and lack of awareness the best you can hope for is around 10 quid an hour, less if you are not in a big city maybe more in London.

Employers don't pay you more just because you have some meme mental conditions, in fact they are likely to reject as soon as they can after meeting you.

The fact that you've never held even a saturday job and are "waiting to pass your driving test". Best chance is getting a job at a supermarket as a driver or just driver in general, you'd actually be on close to £15/hr in those jobs but I'd start stacking shelves and once you have some more driving experience you can apply to be a driver.

For a starter job you're much more likely to be seeing £8-11 an hour.

you wont find a job. the best you can hope for is sucking dick or renting out your bumhole to pensioners. you'll know what it means to be british when you take a grey dusty old pensioner cock up the ass

you can reasonably easily get universeal credit benefits to payout £600 a month if your autistic and it's noticable.

>>55754905
'Ello mate, welcome to the workforce. With your conditions you should apply for PIP(Personal Independence Payment). It's independent of Universal Credit. Doesn't matter if you're working or not. It's meant to help people with conditions live a normal life. Like a lot of UK benefits it gets abused by addicts to get more drugs, scroungers to scrounge more etc. I work in homelessness/substance use and hate recommending benefits but you're on /biz so you're a brother.

Hi pal, any chance I can claim PIP for mental health? I don't claim anything else right now.

>> No.55758962

>>55758614
Yip, the test for PIP is how your affliction; disability; retardation; mental health issue affects your day to day managing of tasks.
Eg. My mental health issues make it difficult to take public transport, be in crowds, to leave home, to socialize, to prepare 3 meals a day etc.
The idea is that you get paid PIP to pay for taxis, therapy, help to overcome etc. But you don't tell the assessor that.
Get your GP records and list of medications that detail your mental health stuff.

You can play the system but don't lose your soul, don't let your MH issues define you and don't become a child of the government. Use the help to make yourself better, get right with God, help other people.

Would anyone else trade in their UK passport for a US one? We're on our way to becoming a US state anyway, but I would unironically take that deal if offered.

For me it's more GAD but I don't know if they support such things, I would assume it was more debilitating disorders.. thanks for that info

Hard decision to make. While the US is definitely more free they also don't have things like NHS. The UK is heading down a dark road though, the online safety bill is about to backdoor all your encrypted messages for instance.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble mate, but don't expect to earn nearly that much. It's a hard slog out here at the moment and lads on site at just above minium wage aren't taking home more that £500pm on 42 hour weeks.

Just be thankful that (I assume) you don't need to be paying rent or council tax as you're still at your parent's house. Definitely make the most of that.

What makes you believe anyone would feel compelled to give you more money for being autistic or anxious? Fucking retard.

>> No.55759458

>>55759133
It'll be how you sell it, you could probably get it with GAD. It's a telephone interview and you would need to make yourself out to be vulnerable, anxious all the time, just hanging in there.
It's up to you whether you want to present yourself that way.

assuming uni
if youre mentally fit enough to work then dont expect extra money but do know that if it interferes with work then youll be sacked
thats a little over a grand a month which is balling for a student
if youre able to keep the alcoholism in check then youll be set for rent, food and entertainment for the whole time youre there
real shit though the difference between a fully bureaucratic workplace and one where the managers are biased and emotional is huge
the biggest advice is to do your job properly, do not take part in workplace gossip and keep your head down
losing jobs is very easy be careful
you can manage

£68 per week low rate for the mental side of it.
£101 per week high rate for the mental side.

Apprentices are on £3.60 here in their first year, at least that's what I was on when I was 19 as a bakers apprentice. It was genuinely embarrassing to barely afford a Tesco meal deal after an hours work.

When I graduated from uni and tried to find a job I worked what I think what 20 hours per week for a month or two (all i could find was temp contract work), at a school due to it starting and having a lot more workload compared to the rest of the year. I believe I earned about £320 per month or so. About £10 an hour.

I think was* 20 hours per week
Anyways, I got a full time job now (£25k), the only normal job I've had about 5 years after bachelors + masters, only save up £1k a month, unsure how to climb for more at the current place however.
It feels like everyone is desperate to get more money and people are pulling Machiavellian tropes at coworkers whilst being bootlickers for upper management to slave up, things are not supposed to be like this.
If anyone has any tips on climbing in IT or other computer related works let me know.
