I lived in a rundown crapshack townhouse in an inner city area in the 1980s.
I recently asked my Boomer dad how much our rent was back then, and he said $150 a month.
I looked up the house recently on Zillow, and despite barely being renovated since the '80s, it goes for $1,400 a month now, and the neighborhood is worse than it was back then.
