I'll go for a bear thesis: bonds are becoming more attractive, most people are naturally risk adverse. That's why you have 30 yr olds allocating 10% or more of their 401k in bonds on here. Why would you risk all the gains you made this year holding when you can still sell for a profit and lock your gains in? People don't actually expect the insane revenue gains implied by the p/e of these companies so with nothing breaking everything is a risk, except post inflation defeat bonds

Buying bonds during a market decline and then selling those bonds to buy stocks when the market recovers is a good strategy. It is a better strategy than holding stocks that depreciate in value during a market decline.

Capital can be preserved by holding bonds. Bonds that appreciate in value and pay monthly dividends are better than holding cash.

>In economics and finance, a Glownigger Market is said to occur when a country's financial policymakers begin manipulating econometric data for their political benefit. [1] This may be accompanied by organized propaganda campaigns, hidden monetary easing, as well as other forms of financial repression, in order to reinforce the illusion that a nation's troubled economy is sound and resilient. [2, 3] In a Glownigger Market, stocks may seem to rally, even irrationally so, in the face of worsening economic conditions. However, while the goal of a Glownigger Market is to either delay or prevent a politically undesireable financial correction from occurring, the policy actions that led to the Glownigger Market invariably increase the severity of the subsequent financial crisis. By attempting to overpower healthy corrective market forces, a Glownigger Market causes extreme capital misallocation that can turn a minor economic downturn into a severe and protracted economic depression. Commodities is probably the most manipulated shit of all. Metals manipulated to hell through futures is old news.

Worst of all is oil. Oil is the single most manipulated asset on earth. Gold manipulation is really about controlling the oil price, and 90% of geopolitics is about access to cheap oil when the rhetoric is stripped away.

Plus it's summer and nobody gives a shit about tv shows right now. In September it's going to be another story

dont forget that the japanese bureaucratic bugs have allowed AI to be trained on pirated data, this is why, even though the japanese Ai models are crap, all the western merchants make a deal with japan firms to train the western AI on the pirated data in japan, and they will import back into the west the output. This means all the wageslaves in the entertainment industry are killed. good riddance.

Really fucking dumb question time:
I kind of 'know' it wouldn't work, but I can't wrap my head around why it wouldn't work.

So, let's say I make some functional, but still fairly shoddy AI.
I tell it to look at some specific factors of a candlestick graph and make predictions of its future trajectory.
It follows just one single stock, to lessen complication.

Now,
over time, it will either prove to be more than 50% accurate or less than 50% accurate.
In one case I can always bet with it to win. In the other case I can always bet against it to win.
Literally cannot lose.

Feels like I'm doing one of them mathematical errors here where I "prove" 1=2, but I can't really see where it goes wrong.

Not strictly true, over a long enough time frame it could be exactly 50% excepting for rounding errors. Over shorter time scales the accuracy could be greater or less than, but nearly, 50% due to random bias, like getting a run of 10 heads in a row when flipping a coin. It's only guaranteed to be 50/50 over an infinite number of flips.

>In one case I can always bet with it to win. In the other case I can always bet against it to win.
Only as long as the model matches reality i.e. the behaviour of the market doesn't change from what it was during training. If you were continuously training it, as with reinforcement learning, then it might be able to work, assuming it is fundamentally possible for such a thing to work.

During Covid the government basically told everyone that they didn't really have to work, most jobs weren't essential, and that if you don't work it's OK we'll give you free money, hey we will even cancel your student loans. This is the mindset many people have now, work is no longer something they have to do.

Some of these girls are too pretty to be prostitutes. I regret falling down this rabbit hole of street walking videos. After visiting the philippines I think these hotels can easily be crowded out by offering short time rates (many do already but..) also by providing clean rooms that are just the essentials without bullshit like carpit that just gets ruined as well as providing security on premise. The fuck hotels in philippines always had two security guards at the door. Of course this would end up being a scale operation so there might not be enough fucking density for this.

we actually have a corporate bond bubble
even has its own wikipedia page
>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporate_debt_bubble
>"In June 2018, 22% of outstanding U.S. nonfinancial corporate debt was rated "junk", and a further 40% was rated one step above junk at "BBB", so that approximately two-thirds of all corporate debt was from companies at the highest risk of default, in particular retailers who were losing business to online services."

>"By mid-2018, total outstanding U.S. corporate debt reached 45% of GDP, which was larger than that seen during the dot-com bubble and subprime mortgage crisis."

So what was the solution by the fed after causing this problem?

>"On 12 May, the Fed began buying corporate bond ETFs for the first time in its history. It stated its intention to buy bonds directly "in the near future". As companies must prove that they can not otherwise access normal credit to be eligible for the primary market facility, analysts opined that it may create a stigma for companies and be little used. However, the guarantee of a Fed backstop appears to have ensured market liquidity."

Problem is the fed can do whatever the fuck it wants broadly because of how important the dollar is to global markets. "BRICS" still has no teeth it appears to me because most of the currencies that make it up.. are well junk. Especially China. They're sitting at something like 300% debt to GDP currently and it's just going to get worse for them as they are forced to do more heavy handed approaches to protect themselves and insulate themselves from rampant over spending. The only country in the world that has a currency worth a shit currently is the Russian rouble. Look back at the value of the rouble before the colour revolution in Ukraine where they took Crimea. The country has a low debt to GDP, has a wealth of exports, and has plenty of opportunity for growth.

For example, Siberia is still broadly untapped. The last major construction work was under the Soviets to build the BAM which was to bring metals and other materials from Siberia properly to market. The issue is that Russia is under capitalized and has too many oligarchs corruption in the game. If for example Russia chose to operate under a sorta Chinese model where "Developement Zones" were created with better protection to investors and the U.S wasn't trying to skullfuck anyone who touches Russia imagine the riches that could be obtained.

The US dollar is at a record low of central bank reserves in the world and normally that's whats let us offshore so much inflation. We essentially levy a tax on the rest of the world. >Starting from early 2023, Argentina plans to join Brazil in paying for Chinese imports using the yuan instead of U.S. dollars. The country's goal is to safeguard its diminishing reserves of U.S. dollars.

>In late March 2023, China and Brazil finalized an agreement to conduct trade using their respective currencies.[11] China holds the position of Brazil's largest trading partner, with a bilateral trade volume of approximately US$150.5 billion (US$200 billion) recorded last year. This marks the 14th consecutive year in which China has maintained its status as Brazil's primary trade partner. Additionally, Brazil stands out as the first Latin American country to surpass a trading volume of $100 billion USD with China.

>In April 2023, Bolivian President Luis Arce revealed that the government is actively considering the adoption of China's yuan as an alternative to the U.S. dollar for conducting international trade.

>Since 2011, China is gradually shifting from trade in US dollar and in favour of Chinese yuan,[16] and in March 2018, China started buying oil in gold-backed yuan.[17] In March 2022, multiple reports claimed that Saudi Arabia was in talks with China about trading Saudi oil and gas to China in Chinese yuan instead of dollars.[18][19] In December 2022 at China - GCC Summit, President Xi Jinping called for Oil trade payments to be settled at yuan.[20][21] Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that Chinese-Arab relations experienced a "historic improvement."[22]

>In January 2023, Finance Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed Al-Jadaan stated that it is open to trade in other currencies besides the US dollar, and this expression is considered to be the first time in 48 years.

>According to the IMF's Currency Composition of Official Foreign Exchange Reserves (COFER) survey the share of reserves held in U.S. dollars by central banks fell from 71 percent in 1999 to 59 percent in 2021.

All of them have had to issue buttload of new shares to take in money and the rates at that time were only at 3%. Inflation since then accelerated and the bank is forced to hike further and will probably hold for longer.
I have no idea how that is bullish for REITs but apparently it is. Fugg dis gey market.
It is actually incredibly how fragile these companies are. The rates are insanely low even with these supposed rate hikes. 3-4% the fugg?

REITs are unique in that they didn't get bailed out in 2008 so after getting bent over the table they changed their debt and made it both longer term and overwhelmingly fixed rate.

Shocking so when you don't bail out an industry it actually changes and learns to fear consequences and works to prevent them in the future, who knew?

Also the whole point of reits is that they can just sell more shares to raise money. That's their whole purpose, investors buy shares and that money goes into properties. And because they aren't taxed it works out nicely

Fuck man, I can't believe I bought FRC instead of PACW. I was even deliberating between the two. To think that I lost 70 grand instead of making 2-3x because of it. Hurts bro. I'm effectively financially ruined now. I need a 10x just to get back to where I was.

Embrace entropy. Short the VIX. When you short the VIX you are trading against VIX futures market makers. Those market makers are the sluttiest paypigs whomstd've cannot cum without handing over fat wads of cash to their findom daddies. That's where the pic related comes in. The best highest leverage yet safest way to short the VIX is via directional butterfly option spreads on VXX. This one in particular is a so-called broken wing butterfly so it has even less risk should the VIX futures market maker paypigs get uppity and try to pump the VIX in a halfhearted effort to try to deny me my cash (this seldom works in their favor). I'd suggest researching butterfly options

Right same thing, people have options, the thesis would be big tech was the only logical place to put money in March, now conditions have changed. It's not sexy and I realize as an American I'm supposed to work in niggers somehow but a thesis was asked for and there it is. I could do a bull thesis, if anyone would like, but it's not really necessary because the truth is most people are pussies and are comfortable enough with the knowledge that most companies don't go out of business and you don't need to be right about anything as long as you are willing to hold until inflation gives you a paper win.
