I made about 100k flipping ASA shitcoins in the previous bull. But looking back now, everything is dead.

>> No.55497780

Goracle just went to mainnet on Algorand recently so I'm thinking about picking some up just for the hell of it. I've mostly been focused on just getting Algos on the cheap for if/when things recover.

Not really, it's a similar gamble to buying a random #1000 rank shitcoin and praying for a moonshot. Algorand itself is dead so all the tokens in its ecosystem will also struggle a lot

foundation still has millions to dump, other VCs aren't going to get into it now at this point. There is no utility to retail you are literally just the exit liquidity cushion

>>55501624
What is the difference between this and literally any other chain? Look at the tokenomics of HBAR or Solana or Cosmos etc. yeah there is some centralized entity and there are tokens to dump. Do you think this is going to last forever?

>> No.55501722

>>55501650
Other chains have better token distribution and/or have more demand. Algorand has zero demand and 99% of the tokens are either dumped directly or given to VCs that dump with terrible lockup agreements. Almost nothing goes to you before it gets diluted.

HBAR has done a better job of getting adoption. Solana targeted devs/retail when the hype was high. Similar with Cosmos, and they attracted people with their airdrops and better governance/community control.

What demand? Who the fuck is using Solana or HBAR? The entire market is in the toilet and we're just speculating on who is better positioned to bounce back.
As for token distribution, it's crap for all those pre-mined coins.

>> No.55501810

>>55501759
>What demand

I suggest you take a look at the ranks. Even hbar is a shitcoin and it's surpassed Algorand after being behind for so long. That's due to a mixture of demand and token distribution. There's nothing to argue here, facts are facts.

Algorand has worse overall management/VCs/distribution/network effects than those others. More people think SHIB could pump than Algo and for good reason.

>As for token distribution, it's crap for all those pre-mined coins.
Somehow even after FTX blew up, Solana still has better VCs than Algorand. That's saying a lot. Look at Jump Crypto for example, they replenished a $100M+ wormhole hack to make victims whole. Meanwhile Borderless Capital doesn't do shit for relative peanuts lost in a MyAlgo hack. And then things like Acelerated Vesting being full blown retarded, it's the cardinal sin to not enforce strict lockups and just let everything get vested in months from price manipulation.

I mean it's worse from every angle. It doesn't just underperform for no reason.

Fully agree, also think memecoins like pepe or shib are better punts than most 2021 cycle L1's honestly. I would pick SOL first perhaps, still large dev community, mobile narrative and pretty large existing mindshare with retail. Not that any of these will ever reach new ATH's they just might outperform ETH for short periods and could make decent swing trades. Not in my personal plan just thinking out-loud.

New cycle L1's like Monad, Berachain ect and L2s like Fuel network is where you want to really be playing

I seriously doubt ALGO will ever make it to 0.75 ever again.

If it does then it'll be at the same rate as other shit. I don't see it really outperforming the market

and at the same time ALGOcels will claim their chain never got any publicity and marketing because it was too "serious". It was literally always one of the most popular chain for retail mouthbreathers after with Cardano. Most popular on REDDDIT.

Algo was super popular before insiders dumped it to oblivion and killed all positive sentiment. Now baggies say "negativity" is the problem. Truly lost causes

Word on the street is he got paid a kings ransom so it's hard to see that happening

The people at the top made off well. The crashing and burning may even be intentional if their goal is to cash out and they don't care to commit long term.

And if not, I wouldn't be surprised if they're not worried one bit. They're stubborn folks who come from trad backgrounds. They're surrounded by yes-men and in echo chambers, blocking any critics on social media. They're likely just as delusional as shills and think the shitty performance is just a blip on the radar and their success is inevitable if they keep doing what they're doing. Best tech, build it and they will come, superiority complex

I know that ultimately he's just a hired gun. But he's actively been pushing for proper decentralization and the rest of the foundation keeps making sketchy OTC deals so that VC's can dump even harder. It's beyond counter-intuitive at this point. Even after the accelerated vesting. People were right, the foundation will run this chain into irrelevance. This will be a ghost chain long before 2030. Can't wait for them to act like retail wasn't interested when it was the Foundation that killed it all.

Exactly, my point is they're a shit VC. Literal nobodies who dump heavily and drop their balls in community staking pools to soak up more rewards for dumping
