You're too late to buy the bottom but you can buy TOAD, ride it for a week for a x10, and then dump the profits into BCH, even if it's at $500 already.
No way BCH outpaces TOAD.

On the subject of why BCH is mooning.
1/2 Roger Ver had enough BTC to decide on his own whether BCH or BTC will become bitcoin.
Newfags like to act like 1mb blocks were pre-determined to win, but really it was the other way round back then. Roger Ver alone had 300k BTC, Jihan had six-figs as well, and more than half of the real OGs from 2011 were in the BCH camp. So why did BCH fail to flip?

Once Roger started flipping BTC, exchanges stopped trading. BCH remained at the price it was before the halt, while massive amounts of USDT were printed, and BTC started mooning. Once trading resumed, suddenly "interest" in BTC was much higher than that in BCH.

Why? Because Bitfinex and Binance started manipulating the price. Their internal balances did not reflect what was on the exchange. They were dumping depositor's BCH on third party exchanges, coordinating fake trades to make it as if BCH was being sold in record breaking numbers on their exchanges as well and they faked it and faked it until BCH was only a fraction of the price of BTC.

The result? Even up until 2023, Binance had 600k BCH deposited, while its balances only showed 120k available. They never bothered to rebuy the coin and were pretty much insolvent. They wouldn't care, because they'd be able to buy it even more cheaply (which they are doing atm).

The reason BCH is mooning is that Binance has been put under extreme scrutiny by both the USA and the EU. The missing BCH balance will be exposed if they don't make up for it somehow and they're consistently buying. There is nothing to suggest they'll stop doing that anytime soon, as they need to purchase a total of 480k BCH, perhaps finex needs to do the same, and to top it all off, the green dildos they made have started a reflexivity trend, with many new people buying in.

2/2

The cool part about the BCH gang is that all of them are multi millionaires. Pretty much all of them bought their BTC in 2010 or 2011. Their marketing sucked so bad, that not a single newfag joined their frey during the fork. It remained the small club of the bitcoin OG multimillionaires.

This matters a lot, because not a single one of them is thinking "oh, this shit did a x3, better take profit". They'll never be fully happy before BCH flips BTC. So unlike any other shitcoin that has similar green dildos, BCH will not see a massive increase in selling pressure as it continues mooning.
And unlike every previous attempt, big exchanges can't afford to manipulate the price downwards using nonexistent coins, fake profiles, etc. They'll just keep on buying for months.

And buying from whom exactly? There's barely any float in BCH. A few weeks ago you could sell one BTC for 100 BCH, at a time when Roger Ver still had more than 50k BTC (at least), Haipo Yang is a billionaire supporter, Jihan is still playing his game in the shadows, the OGs haven't really left the ship. Roger Ver has millions of BCH. Satoshi + lost coins make up 6-7M. A few shadow players combined add up to more than 10-12M in BCH that will not be trading until #1 CMC

Despite the massive market cap of BCH, this shit barely has any float. When you exclude the coins that will not be sent to exchanges, this is similar to a lowcap memecoin. Next few months will be extremely fun to watch. The pump is manipulated by big players, who also margin bought. Once they take profits, they'll buy more BCH with them. Reflexivity and all...

Call me a pajeet shill all you want, but I lost hope in BCH price when they failed to implement Avalanche consensus. I sold all my BCH and bought AVAX at $0.50. I missed this pump, and I'm not buying (before I take profits from TOAD, because all my money is in TOAD and Dubai real estate). So if anything, I'd love a nice correction, but I'm pretty sure we won't be seeing one.

Thank you for the well informed post. I luckily snagged a few at the absolute bottom (which was apparently the last support layer). I have a friend that made a bunch of money than was into BTC in 2013 or so and he always spoke favorably toward BCH and was like "idk why everyone decided on BTC as 'the real bitcoin'". Talking to him about it convinced me to snag some when it was cheaper, wish I would've got more since so much is already burned. I assume all the Mt Gox, Silk Road, Satoshi burn, HODLers, the circulating supply has to be nearly as scarce as BTC. To me personally, we can either have high fees or low fees. Why have high fees? Makes no sense. That said, I probably won't buy any more, but I'm not selling either.

Money in crypto is mostly made with lowcaps.
Then you have large caps for stability.
BCH is only there to be a better addition to your portfolio than BTC or ETH. No need to be buying more before you catch a x100 with the lowcap section of your portfolio.

No, you should have bought lower, but you probably wouldn't even enter a BCH thread at the most opportune time. The second best is now.

That part is correct, Wu is the only OG who actually dumped at a loss, but he was forced by the government to do so. Afaik he has been accumulating since, though.

Binance is proven to hold way less BCH than it owes its customers.
90% of OGs (except the ponzi scammer types) are in BCH instead of BTC.

We only needed 1 MB when it was small to prevent attacks", just before disappearing from the internet a decade ago. As fees rose, it became more clear that the 1MB limit is a problem. Honestly it's pretty clear now BCH people were right and L2 solutions aren't sufficient. That doesn't mean it'll moon or anything... could go to zero for all I know. BCH actually got CashTokens recently too which makes it a lot more powerful than BTC.
The tooling isn't very mature yet AFAIK, but it gives it pretty powerful smart contract capabilities that are "near" Ethereums (albeit, very different to implement and far more scalable as it uses a UTXO instead of an account model)

>> No.55448205

>>55446746
nope. The chain with the most hash power is bitcoin, everything else is an alt. And its mathematically provable that a public ledger can't scale as a global payment system, l2s are required no matter what

accounts models are lower overhead than utxo lol. You can also reconstruct a utxo model off chain from an account model

>> No.55448547

>>55448205
>accounts models are lower overhead than utxo lol
From a performance point of view, this is simply not true.
From a developers point of view though, yes. It is far easier to work with the account model than a UTXO model.

>> No.55448604

>>55448547
No, retard. An account based model is literally a strict subset of utxo data. Account model is each account has balances, utxo can derive that but also defines where each coin exactly comes from, its strictly more complex and actually makes balances non-fungible. In fact, you can simply implement a utxo system within an account model if you wanted to.

>> No.55448699

>>55448604
You cannot easily process in parallel with an account model.
Two operations on the one "account" need to be ordered.
The UTXO model does not have this problem. In the UTXO model, any conflicting operation of this sort is technically just a double-spend.

>> No.55448715

BCH's litecoin larp is over. The real cat's here and he's here to stay.

>> No.55448748

>>55448699
You're just repeating stuff you're googling that you don't understand. A node can validate utxo transactions in parallel, sure, because it can simply see if the unspent txs were spent, and if so, its invalid. But this has nothing to do with speeding up or scaling the protocol which is bottlenecked by network bandwidth, not node CPU power. Look at requirements for eth validators, no one cares about maximizing cpu parallelization.

The problem is think about this in real world usage. If you have an money market with asset pools and a price oracle, There are various data points being accesses all over the place here. So in a utxo model whenever one of these data points are simply looked at by a transaction, it makes every other pending transaction fail because the unspent tx was spent (even if it was just look at but no change was made it was spent to just move to another address). This is why cardano's uxto model fucking sucks and you can't run a basic AMM that can process more than 1 swap per block without l2 solutions.

Utxo is a superset of account model that only makes sense for simple use cases like payments, it is far too inflexible for smart contracts. And like I said you can implement utxo in an account model. You can make smart contracts that first check whether some input state has changed, etc. and then a modified eth client to process these specific contracts in parallel but its obviously stupid and pointless since cpu is no where close to being the bottleneck for nodes.
