because of this, i probably have some pretty deep-seated feelings of insecurity and inadequacy. participating in this online puzzle game made me feel like i was part of some secret club with access to exclusive knowledge, and also promised to help me achieve financial stability and simulated community or membership in a circle of like-minded peers (something i lack IRL, if we're being honest- i spend most of my time alone). so you could say /xsg/ fulfilled some pretty deep-seated needs for me.

now it's become clear that it was all a scam, and rather than pointing the way to a brighter future where i am able to feel that my life has meaning and i'm able to contribute to the world, i realize that i've been deceived and manipulated and lied to, and actually rather than being "special" or "worthwhile" i'm actually a waste of talent and potential. it was all a lie, just like all my hopes and dreams of being something other than a lonely, worthless, mentally-ill societal reject. when my end comes, it will come as a relief.

I did Stronglifts 5x5 and basically did exactly what you’ve described with the fasting. I mitigated it by eating a good calorie surplus on the lifting days, and it did work, but I’ve tried many things since including some extreme fasts, and I gotta say, regular bulk and cut is pretty unbeatable.
HIIT is great but I found it hard to upkeep, I think I’d just advise making sure you get your cardio in and not worrying about it
