Secondly, most houses in Toronto look awful, they would be considered starter homes anywhere outside of a major city. 1.5M to be around a bunch of nosy loud neighbors, paying property tax, fixing stuff, in a lousy attached townhouse is not worth 1.5M to me.

If I could go back in time and buy the a house in 2016 dollars I'd gladly do that, but not so much now.

In my opinion you should just go to SEA (South East Asia). With your income you will live like a billionaire. At that standard of living, who gives a shit what country you're in?
