SKYWIRE

>designed to be ran on skycoin's own open source hardware infrastructure
>uses public keys instead of ip addresses
>all traffic encrypted by default
>man in the middle attacks impossible
>nodes forwarding traffic can only see the previous and next hop, not origin or destination
>latency superior to ipv4 because ISPs use hot potato routing and skywire doesnt
>speed superior because bandwidth aggregation is possible, using the unused bandwidth of your neighbours
>immune to all of ISP fuckery such as throttling, censorship, outages etc
>works as an overlay over the current internet as of now, but will be completely independant as soon as the network backhaul is in place
>incentivized for the first 14 years, you get paid for running a node and transferring packets for the network
>it will be faster and pretty much free, no way current ISPs can compete

It will literally replace the current internet. The software already works, the hardware nodes are being shipped. You're a retard if you ignore this desu

Should be around Q1 2018. Nodes are being shipped and they're going to run on testnet for a while. After that, the old internet is done.

first batch are 1 btc each, miner itself costs $600 and you get the rest back in skycoin immediately. Probably not worth it desu, wait for 2nd cheap batch or build your own, it's just a cluster of orange pis anyways.

Can your pc handle encrypting and decrypting more than 10gb/s of traffic? Also, literally all intel and amd cpus have remote management engine backdoors in them, they aren't even hiding it. Some of them have radios for injection of shellcode over 3g and bluetooth. Running skywire on your intel cpu would be retarded.
